What was he supposed to say? Loui is established, vesey isn't yet, if ever. |

Hmmm. It seems like the blogger of this article might be a little sore that Vesey didn't choose his team...
I don't think it was a shot at Vesey at all. It was simply the truth. Loui is a guy Krejci actually played with already and Vesey is an unproven college kid.
I highly doubt many players from any team that lost in the "Vesey sweepstakes" really cares all that much. They will all likely have better players to focus their attention on when they play the Rangers. Maybe Vesey will actually prove to be a decent player, but at this point it's all speculation.

Didn't really see any shots fired there. Get over it. The kid has a 50/50 chance of being a "decent" NHL'er. Kyle Connor should of won the Hobey Baker anyways but the voting tends to favour seniors. Jack Eichel was a very rare case. |

Krejci sounds like he's upset about losing another winger to the bz side of hockey. I really don't think he cares at all about Vesey one way or another. Also, the Phil surgery was no secret. It's been out there since the parade was over. |

Anyone read the new ESPN NHL Prospect rankings?
Toronto has the best farm system in the NHL and it isn't close. Based on my prospect definitions, there are zero reasonable arguments for anyone to even be in the same conversation. Not only do they have a ton of elite talent in players like Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and William Nylander, but their depth is elite too. There are at least 20 prospects in this system that would fit in many other teams' top 10
Oh my! |

toronto is 1st, but zona and peg are very close.
zona doesnt have that elite, franchise prospect. only reason they arent #1.
leafs probably tumble next year when Matthews, Nylander, Marner all become ineligible but who cares right? |

I'd argue that Strome could well be that guy for Arizona, and would rank him as 6th best prospect in the league. I think though that Marner's last season where he won everything puts him slightly above Strome overall. If we're going with the Calder-eligible prospects I'd rank them Matthews-Laine-Puljujarvi-W. Nylander-Marner-Strome. |
