This really blows. I was liking what I was seeing out of Gabs during the World Cup. I was truly expecting big things. I guess after 15 or 20 games he will be back and hopefully healthy and scoring goals.

Indeed, I didn't forget. You could see this coming in January... not the Gaborik injury, specifically, of course, but the likely chance that Kopitar would have no one of quality to skate with, especially in the case of injury to the ever-prone Gaborik. He earned his deal, but he chose to do LA no favors and risked having to play with players well below his caliber, and now he has to sleep in that bed.

Setoguchi was the best player on the ice last night in LA (granted with fringe players, prospects, and the odd NHLer here and there). If he can show up like that, I hope we bring him aboard. No one in-organization can do what Gabo does, Setoguchi has that skill that we lack.
