With the signings, Im pretty cool with how the roster is setting up and the call up situation.
Probably Opening Night Roster
Landy MacK Dutch
Colborne Soderberg Iggy
Comeau Grigo Rantanen
McLeod Mitchell R.Bourque
Martinsen/Vogelhuber
Call ups: Grimaldi, Compher, G. Bourque
Zads EJ
Beauch Barrie
Wier Gelly
Tyutin
Call ups: Bigras, Siemens, Lindholm
I think its very respectable roster and the next up for Call ups. |

I would say more than that, Varly usually has groin issues, so would rather give Picks 25 games just to help keep him healthy |

You know Sweeney doesnt have the balls or the brains for that. Vegas will take Subban, its pretty much a done deal already. |

real talk, are you concerned that the Wilds will be relying heavy on a group of players all 32 years or older? Thats not the youngest roster you have there |

they are going to roll him out that way, he was playing with Johnson on the top pairing the last 2 preseason games and they were very impressive eye test and fancy stats.
Hes ready to start in that role at least |

mikko, pommer and suter over 32 that's it.. most of the team is 26 and under. pommer has sucked for two years already but mikko had 56pts last season and has never had good speed and suter is suter nothing flashy but in the right position more often than not.. i'm more worried about the kid 4th line cause BB likes to roll all 4 |

Parise is 32 isnt he? E. Staal is going to be 32 soon. Just seems like an older group of guys that might be heavily leaned on.
Just that the statistical leaders have been that older group of guys, so that younger group needs to start to become the ice time, point leaders soon in my mind at least. |

zucker's really the only one who hasn't matured nicely but haula, nino, granlund and coyle have improved each season.. coyle could have a huge year this year playing with staal and parise.. parise is 32 yeah, not over and i'll worry about parise ahhhhhh never. the guy battle's harder than most. until injuries force him to retire he'll be fine.. you don't need top end speed to go to the front of the net and dig out dirty goals |

your roster is super interesting, it seems like this should be the changing of the guard when it comes to horses who pull the wagon, especially under BB.

So much of the season hinges on Staal. There's not a lot of forward depth barring a waiver pick up. They've been bad at center for so long that, if Staal can even give them 50 points, itll be a big boost to the overall production of the forward group. Now moving on to your lines, have they not been playing Colburne at center during the preseason? |

No, hes been more Wing. They really believe in Grigo being the 3C on this team, which he has been really effective at, both defensively and FO%
MacK, Soderberg, Grigo seems to be the C depth right now. Colborne and Duchene will probably see more Wing time |

You think Duchene is more productive at center? It seems like he is because he has more room to operate and skate. |

He was more effective on the Wing, when playing with MacKinnon last year he saw his goal scoring spike as soon as they made that switch.
Similar to OV and Kessel, playing his offhand on the wing, with his speed coming down the boards, he is able to disguise his shot shooting across his body, seem to be scoring way more at RW as a left hand shot |

MacKinnon better light it up this year fatmarsh. I picked him high in my draft. He is my go to guy now that my 1st pick Crosby is a marshmellow head. |

if he doesnt have over 65 points this year, its going to be a big disappointment IMO.
Just the hype around him right now, and the fact that seeing what this team can do already under Bednar....actually play structured hockey, working in a 5 man unit vs just fwds scrambling around.
I think they will make some noise |

not quite yet.. i think fletch has spaced the age well and has picked up good young players through trades. in two yrs mikko and pommer contracts up, buy out staal's last year and he'll have 15mil to play with.. maybe even sign mikko for cheap short contract and move him down the lineup if he's still effective.. tuch 6'4 225 R wing who loooked good in preseason nino, coyle, granlund will be 25 or 26,and erickson-ek 6'3 215 made the team to start this season at 19.. spend some of that $ on a shiney new center and keep payin our d.. I could see dumba being our top point getter from the blue line in two years.. i really don't think the wild will be a bottom dweller for awhile unless there is an avalanche of injuries our horrible trades buy fletch |
