Canes took their foot off the gas and paid for it. Teaching points all around for game one. The kids will have to figure out that they have to keep pressure on instead of trying to play out a game in their own end.
Overall a decent game. Something to build off of for both teams. |

I didn't get the game on TV in Northern BC but I was following on TSN. It was exciting to see that Laine got 2 points and Connor put an assist up. I'm not sure where the year is going to end up but we are definitely going in the right direction! |

"Hellebuyck probably wants one or two goals back but so does Ward so let's chalk that up to opening night jitters before we run anyone back to the minors."
I'll grant you that. I only watched the third period/OT but he was struggling out there (eventho he only let in one while I was watching). To me, it looked like he was swimming around and lost his net a couple times on the rush.
But really I just replied to geek out and acknowledge the saucer pass from Wheeler to Scheifele in OT |

Looks like Burmi gets a big opportunity. Hope he takes advantage of it !

Good opportunity for Burmi to showcase his talents to rest of the league, and on the flip side, Petan and Copp should be playing like they should be in the NHL and deserve a call up. This could help the JETS make some final roster decisions. |

It sounds as if the Jets are going to use Burmistrov to replace Little. I'd rather see a call up from the farm. Burmistrov has the puck too often and nothing happens.
I'd prefer a call up from the Moose. Let Burmi play in a corner of the rink when the puck is in the other end. |

POMO has said you can start to see the core of this team. Burmi is not part of the core of this team, imo, so he needs to play to raise his trade value.
Good opportunity for the young guys on the moose to showcase that they belong in the NHL in the meantime, though. |

our D are horrible, Stuart, Chairot, and Postma have no business in the league. It will be a long year unless we address. |

sadly he did not, if we trade Trouba, I hope he's a throw in |

Unfortunately, Chevy forgot to draft defencemen over the years. So, we have a glut of young forwards, but not a lot of D in the system. |

So, Tess, where's Trouba going? And what would it take from said team to get him? |
|
|
|
It's going to take a 3-way deal for the Jets to maximize their return on Trouba. |

I'd take jt Miller and Brady Skjie from the Rangers for trouba |
