I love the center depth, wing depth is a bit of an issue, maybe room for Greer and Compher to slide up mid season perhaps?!

Yeah wing is an issue. Blandisi for Barrie should address it.

With the wingers we currently have, unless one goes down with an injury, I don't think there will be any movement;

Rene has a OWC, obviously not going anywhere barring injury.

Rants is finally healthy and a decent player had to be waived to get him up. Don't see him moving barring injury/really poor play.

Grigs is grigs.... nuff said.

Old Iggy is producing despite having cinderblocks for skates on a fast team

Landy is obvious.

Colborne is playing really well

Comeau is in a role he fills quite well.

The only player I see possibly losing out is Martinsen.

That isn't that weak of a set of wingers. There's room for improvement, sure. But nothing either of those two could improve on mid season.

As much as I would also like to see those two up with the Avs, I don't see anything happening until after expansion draft.

I see this year folding out like this: granted it's 5 games in...
Bigras will be recalled, I would like to see compher and Greer but a full year won't hurt them, unless injury happens then call them up. there is 2 of 3 for a third line next year.
Wildcard playoff spot
Loss either soderberg or Comeau to expansion draft
Resign weirco and grigs to 3 to 4 year deals as well as zads and Siemens to another 1 year deal
Jost/Butcher will get an ELC, Morrison will do another year at college,
Unless traded at deadline, iggy will not return, gelly will be let go
2017 draft is another solid one.

I guess we will see if any of that comes true!

Landy/Rants - beast wingers (Rants still needs to show he is that in the NHL but talent is there)
Grigs/Comeau/Colborne, good guys to roll around in the Top 9 but not top line wingers
Iggy - fading but still fills a role
Rourque/Gourque/Martinsen - 4th line guys but not the worst guys.

There is a drop off in talent, but its not that dire. If they could make 1 savy move later to pick up another top 9 winger I would be happy with that group.

Yeah, Iggy is done after this year, at least with us. I can see him signing a cheesy 1 year deal to retire up in CGY.

I hope for Rants its just a stage freight situation. He played so well in the A last year!


On a side note, Anyone surprised to see Roy fight to his dying breath for Holden even AFTER we shipped him off to NYR?!? Word on the street is he even called up Alain V. and praised Holden like he was his own son. Then turn around a week later and step out of town. So Holden WAS the final straw!

I picked him up in my draft, my last pick, 14 teams 15 rounds so went (frank) it

I think he could put up 45 points this season in the right circumstances

I love it! Why not right. I think he'll be solid! Ill drop him for Lindholm I'm sick of waiting for the Ducks to sign him

I had him at 15g and 25a. But in the last half of the year really start rolling.

MIGHT as well! in waiting a few games before I snag him
