Any dildos thrown on the ice?

Oh, big win you bunch of funny looking Jersey wearing beachtes.

Would you say the Bolts struggle against other fast teams??

Gotta eat a little crow on grabner. Hated the signing but Gorton/AV knew what they wanted in Grabs. Speed we know he had. The hands he's showed & the sheer tenacity he's showing getting to plays is unexpected.

This team is as exciting a Rangers offensive team like Jimbo said since the Messeir/Graves/Kovalev/Verbeek days. And now lets get Kreider back!

Nice blog Jan.

After last nights game, no way do I trade Skjei and Miller for Trouba

Good blog Jan. Love the speed of this team and nice to see them adjust(unlike in Carolina).

Did the Vesey/Stepan/Nash line play much in the 3rd? Don't remember them being out much.

Jeff Skinner is having an outstanding start to the season, like elite level stuff. If he can stay healthy he can have a 40-40 season

totally agree with RD (sick website EK quotes not working)

The pressure is all on Winnipeg. Because of they don't sign him by Dec. 1st than he won't play hockey in N.A. for the rest of the year. Plus once they sign him, they'll most likely trade him because of the headache he's now become. Lastly, you'll have to pro-rate his cap if he does sign.

I assume the Jets will list Big Buff as a forward in expansion draft and protect him that way?

if not, including Trouba, they have 4 defensemen to protect

It'll help that Laine and Morrisssey will be exempt. IDK, Buff listed as a D-man currently.

That would be some major BS if they can get away with doing that

I don't see how they can even come to terms on an extension. As far as I've read, Trouba hasn't even discussed contract in months with them. It's not about money or term, he just wants to get out of Winnipeg.

if they can't, then acquiring a player like Skjei who doesn't have to be protected could be gold for them

That's unlikely to happen without a contract. And no team is going to trade for an un-signed RFA. Look at Lindholm, Ducks are happy he signed. But his cap hit this year is 5.7 million dollars. Trouba's will certainly want the same deal as Lindholm but the pro-rated hit will be higher.

Definitely.

Skjei and a prospect from the AHL, sign me up. But I think the fact that Skjei is exempt from the draft adds major value. Enough value that no roster player should be included unless it's Grabner. F Grabner.

Btw, love that skjei keeps getting PP time. He's being given a lot of opportunity to develop his offensive game. That pass last night on the tic tac toe goal was a beauty by him.

This season could be even better if that's possible. Normally the board is a place for people to come and talk about all the things that need fixing, whether the rangers win or lose. However I think everyone can agree this has to be one of the best starts the Rangers have had in recent memory. There is no whipping boy on this team, everyone is scoring and chipping in.
Think about this, they have three losses, all by one goal and In all three games they outplayed the team they lost to but just ran into really hot goaltending (St. Louis, Detroit, Carolina)
The Rangers could easily be 9-0 and they are leading the league in scoring. When was the LAST time the Rangers were scoring that much??

I was and sill am very high on Skjei and Miller coming into the season after ho-hum camps. Add in Vesey who has lived up to the hype that I and a lot didn't think he would be able to do along with Hayes Kreider and Zib if they resgin him long term and you have an absurdly well rounded solid core for years to come.

Now they just need to jump start Buch!
