Since this place has been SO joyful lately, I'd like to point out the ability to...you know...NOT respond to people you don't like/don't agree with/think are nuts/annoying/etc.
I'm not asking for everyone to be best of friends around here, but consider the bigger picture of what forums are as a whole - a community to bond with people and discuss our passion. Constant negativity does nothing to keep people coming and contributing, so add a little consideration beyond just the internet-standard of spewing poop at every chance you get.
The site (unfortunately) doesn't have an ignore function, but I'm pretty sure human brains are capable of it.

So you are so frustated with "your" team's performance, despite being "better" than the biggest rival this team has - but you enjoy their team. Methinks your concept of fanhood is skewed.
Not saying you (royal you) can't enjoy other teams' play or anything, but for all the "excitement" that team has, they're a tire fire a magnitude worse than Buffalo's defense/goaltending. - stashu
OK the point I'm trying to make leafs, Sabres are bad but one team is fun to watch and the other is like watching a classic New Jersey game.

If there was an ignore function, we'd all be talking to ourselves

Saw on twitter over the weekend Disco Dan said Kane actually has 4 broken ribs, not 3.
And
Evander Kane (cracked ribs) is almost ready to resume workouts.
"He's closer to starting cardiovascular [workouts] off the ice," coach Dan Bylsma said. "It would probably be another three to five days. We'll see when he's going to progress, I would say." Kane was injured in Buffalo's season opener against Montreal back on Oct. 13. Oct 28 - 4:48 PM

That "fun" style will start to wear on people after a bit as well. Yes, right now they're scoring goals like crazy, but they're also giving them up like crazy.
It's insane to think that a team could have a guy that scores 4 goals in one night and still loses the game. If you're actually a fan of that team, you're pissed off because the defense/goaltending (mostly defense) is such a mess.

Difference is though this is year 1 for them.
Matthews, Nylander, and Marner are all rookies.
They have 0 expectations this year.
Like last year for us, biggest thing for me was how 55,23, and 15 looked. Not how many games they won
You will see the difference on Thursday and you can compare the two teams - GERBE!!!75PTS
that's fine...I get it...but it is what it is...
the sabres have a more balanced roster which includes two-way forwards like o'reilly who aren't flashy but certainly have an impact...
it should also be pointed out that kyle opkoso is a helluva player and he's proven too...the more teams have tape on players, the more they figure them out...
i'll wait a couple of years before drawing any conclusions other than Matthews is the real deal
