It sounds like the Canucks are getting frustrated by their lack of scoring and unless things turn around quickly there could be changes coming to Vancouver...

stupid. not that i care one way or the other...he seems like an ok coach with limited assets to work with. But when the team is getting loads of shots on net but not scoring...how is that the coach's fault? Seems like his system is working but the players can't finish.

Hard to blame Willie after some questionable moves Benning's did in the off-season.
This is priceless coming from a Columbus fan, who team is in a perennial state of mismanaged assets. Pray tell, what was Benning's questionable move? Gudbranson? |

The reality is Vancouver is a very bad team. I have them last in the west & 27th overall this season. Linden, Benning & a meddlesome owner Acqualini have doomed this team for years. Some of the worst asset management I have ever seen. Haven't won a single trade or even gotten fair value buying over selling.
Desjardins isn't the issue nor is he the solution but he will be the 1st 1 shown the door. The prospect cupboard in Vancouver is virtually bare. With the exception of Stecher, thank god he choose to sign as a UFA with his home team, none of the few remaining prospects, Demko, Bouser or Juolevi will be NHL ready for years. Virtanen looks to be the wrong selection at #6 to young to write off but looks like nothing more than a 3rd line winger but lots of time to prove me wrong. He should have been returned to JR last season. This love of big, physical players is some what outdated for today's NHL. At least Virtanen can skate something that isn't really Gubranson's strong suit. I hated that trade. Well lets be honest I hate all the trades Benning has made. |
