davidsons on the trip too apparently.
really wanna see him out there for us.
gryba's been serviceable and love his physicality, but the davidson of last season is infinitely better.
and even if we cant assume anything from preseasons games, id really like to see what drake can do for our scoring and energy as well.
i dont think money spent on parenteau makes any difference for a healthy oilers squad.
especially if leon gets moved to the right side with drake at 3c.

I would try Puljujarvi with McDavid it can't hurt.
Eberle seems to be overrated and disinterested in playing hockey maybe it is time to trade him and possibly revisit the NYI who seem to be in desperate need of offense. |

matt kinda said it. he is what he is. hes gonna be frustrating when hes not scoring.
if 7 pts in the 4 games prior to the rags game is him disinterested, ill take it.
id entertain trading him, but not unless we're getting someone else with 60+ per potential as well. weve seen how teams like calgary without enough true offensive talent beyond 1 or 2 guys do.... |

me too
at the start of the year I just wanted meaningful improvement and in the hunt till the end. regardless of the outcome.
but at this point with connor and talbot playing as well as they are, the rest of the guys need to sack up and get this squad into the dance.
im with matt now, anything less than the playoffs is a failure |

the D core still needs pieces so i wouldn't call it a failure as long as their close points wise.. this will be a good season to pickup defensemen though.. teams that are stacked are gonna want to move some pretty solid players for cheap to avoid losing them for nothing to las vegas.. the wild being one,one of spurgeon, scandella or brodin will be moved somewhere they are all top 4 capable and 26 and under |

he's played top pair for three years.. fletch would lose his job |

Spurgeon for picks? - Wildschwein
i could see one of other two go for picks though, kinda have a log jam of D even in the AHL.. would be the smart way to free up $ without hurting the team to badly |

Brodin would be nice. Sucks that he's a lefty. |

I don't think poolparty will be effective on the top line. If he's gonna be in the NHL right now, he needs a chance to be successful, not thrown to the wolves against other teams top lines or best checking lines. Better yet, send him down to dominate the A

I'm betting Pouliot is playing hurt. Maybe not, but his lack of results is suspicious.

only if you promise to inflict serious bodily harm on yourself if and when puju is a dominant top line winger and dougie is still hovering around being an average 2nd pairing guy in a few years
no one's untouchable outside connor. and i dont deny the raw tools and offensive skills dougie has. but pujus size, speed and fantastic shot are gonna make him a great player in this league for alot of years. hes gonna be tough to handle when he develops.
calgary with a core of gaudreau, monahan, bennett, tkachuk and puljujarvi is scary.
and two true top pairing guys as well.... |

Well I was gonna demand Tkachuk as the winger they throw in but if you insist I shall whip myself to see it done.
Just so we are clear, I don't want to move Puljujarvi. But no one besides Connor is untouchable as you yourself said. |
