IMHO When a Coach starts talking compete level as a team, It's because the system doesn't work, he is at a loss as to how to fix it and has likely lost the players.

even brodeur would have had trouble with the team in front of him scoring only 14 goals in 10 games

his dad played in the bigs, thought the name sounded familiar. i read an article a few years back suggesting completion percentage is the most important stat for predicting a college qb in the nfl, assuming they have the arm strength. 63.5% for his college career and 65.7% for this year.
