So they fired their coach that had 11 wins in 22 games and replaced him with a coach that now has 9 wins in 25 games. Looks good on them.

Thanks Carol. Would be fitting to happen tonight. Off a Mcann turnover too.
To bad Guddy not here to cause it. Just adds to the theme. Let's hope every has their scripts right for tonight. Bubble race is tight and 2 points at home sorely needed. Just for this I see Hank pressing more to get it done.

He's no credible coach. Shows they had no plan to replace. Rash move by hothead owner.

The Panthers were only great when they were infested with rats.

Kind of like firing WD and replacing him with Jarvis?

I was hoping he'd be a bit more offensive, didn't realize how slight he was before he got here.

always hoping for the best for any Canuck. I'd rather see Stecher than Larsen in the lineup... not sure what WD is going to do. Larsen should just stay in the press box or on IR with a caveat that he has to reach a certain playing weight before he is allowed to return.

Was Larsen's injury before the losing streak? ( I can't recall)

Bank on it post all star when Biega has reached Vegas qualification he'll get press boxed. Possible scenario PL plays until Hutton returns. Don't think WD will want to risk using untested Subban unless forced by injury. If Nucks move a D like in Sbisa for Vegas reasons by TDL, or Hutton return, then PL will continue playing in 6 slot.

WD has him slotted over Biega. He likes how he moves the puck. His D coverage same as Biega but can't hit just uses stick and skating. Expect him to take the 6 slot.

The big losing streak was over before Larsen was injured, but the Canucks went 3-6-1 after he was hurt (including the New Jersey game where the injury occurred) before starting their recent hot streak.

I think the question right now is—would you rather see Larsen or Biega? I might lean toward Larsen.

I think trading Hutton or Sbisa right now would be a mistake unless the return is a massive win. Biega at the TDL and Edler in the offseason make much more sense.
- NorthNuck

NTC aside until there is a clear and not just potential 1D replacement don't see Edler going anywhere.

Also, a D trade by TDL should be to preserve not losing Sbisa for nada to Vegas. Yes they could take Hansen if he's not traded either but the exposure is there for both until or if it is addressed with safe returns of picks or exempt players.

thank you.

so with Larsen or Biega, I'm wondering if they will consider where Tryamkin plays best, left or right side? I think he is a bit better on the right side.

but I guess looking at 3rd pairing d, folks shouldn't get too excited but hey, we live and breathe this stuff.

I wouldn't do that. If Nucks replace WD in off season it needs to be a credible coach with more cache then anyone they got in organization.
