The Kings would love to take a flyer on Iginla. They won't give up anything substantial for him though. A 3rd round pick for Iginla 50% retained is as far as I suspect Lombardi will go.
If the rumors are true about the Duchene to LA deal, the Kings might upgrade a draft pick if Sakic includes Iginla in the package. |

Have you not seen what these GMs do every year? Matt (frank)ing Martin got a 4 year deal last year. Lucic is, what, $6Mx7yrs? and is a 3rd liner. Snow let go Nielson and Okposo to sign Andrew Ladd for $6M.
Someone will look at the point totals and sign Shattenkirk for $42M |
