Bob Duff: Larkin sophomore struggles no jinx Sloppy defensive play has led to a downtown in Detroit center Dylan Larkin's overall productivity.

^ no superstar #1C no, but he will be a very good #2C or RW. Not bad for a 15th pick, the expectations were just too high after his great first half last year.

actually i think this is a stupid comment in that Larkin is only 20 years old and you deemed him trade-able in the other blog. No, i would not trade him.

For the right package. I wouldn't give him away but imo his ceiling is a 2nd line winger which is fine but that makes him very trade-able to me.

Or keep everyone under 23 years old and go for a 4 to 5 yr rebuild. Need some vets when rebuild ends

I think the rebuilding starts this year with a top 5 pick in this upcoming draft.

AA, Larkin and Mantha were all part of a restocking talent depth attempt for playoff runs, which of course did not materialize. I Think all 3 are very useful for our future, but none are a top tier eilte talent IMO... but again, all will be very helpful, and most likely all top 6 talents.

I think we are at the start of the rebuild, not building around those 3 imo.

He has been placed on pathetic lines this year. Not much chance for success playing with the likes of Sheahan, Tatar, Nyqvist, and Helm.

Playing with 3rd line talent and 4th line minutes equates to a bad year. He deserves to be in the top 6 and PP but has to shoot more. Maybe Blashill can change his approach with the younger group and start handing out the minutes they deserve instead of trotting out Sheahan...
