Beaulieu status for this expansion will probably come down to how much money he wants. Under 4/year he gets protected, over that I can see him being left off the protection list.

Thats what I am saying. If he asks for 3.5/year I can see them protecting him. if he says I am comparable/better than Emelin and want 4+ they wont protect him.

His age would factor into it. Typically playing 2nd pairing, sometimes 3rd. 24 years old and most defenders arent in their prime until 27+. If he were a top pairing guy at the age of 24 he would cost significantly more money. I think 3.25 to 3.5 a year is not too bad.

I would hope so. Who knows, he seems to have maturity issues at the moment but that gets better with time.

They also have Petry who's overpaid
