Flyers have been playing great lately. The addition of Weal to lineup has really helped. If he can continue to have this kind of impact, he's a top 6 player. He seems to really have Hak's confidence too, which is a good indication that they'll try hard to re-sign him.
I do wonder if the team would consider moving Filppula to wing if Vecchione demonstrates the ability to play C at a higher level. |

Just beat the (frank)ing rangers
Nice to see them getting it going even if they don't make it to the dance. Going forward hopefully somehow they get more consistent. |

With the way this regime really errors on the side of caution with young guys, I believe Vecchione will start as the pseudo 4th line center with Bellemare moving to wing. He is going to have to really develop quickly to avoid the path of Konency. I'm hoping he can do it because having another good center to rely on would really help the 5 on 5 play.

Always want to see them beat the Rangers.
However, I'm more looking forward to the next game against the Devils and really hoping that Morin is up for that game. |

If Vecchione can be a legit 3C, it would really help set up a nice set of lines for next season. I would love to see something like:
Lindblom-G-Jake
TK-Coots-Schenn
Weal-Vecchione-Simmonds
PEB-Filpulla-Weise
Spares: Read & either Cousins or Laughton
This assumes that they lose Raffl in the expansion draft, either Cousins or Laughton is traded for a younger prospect or a pick and that Leier clears waivers and is back down in the AHL. |

Yup if Boston picks up a point or the Flyers lose a point, it's lottery time.

As a 3rd line center he would make the Laughton experiment over

Laughton from what I've seen, is likely not going to be more than a 4th line/PK guy. I'm just not sure that he thinks the game fast enough to be any more at the NHL level.

I think Vecks wants to play center and that was a selling point the Flyers may have given him, but I personally think he will be better suited on the right side in the NHL. |

With added airport security, it's really hard these days to bring your cocaine on road trips. |

He hasn't become an All-Star at the age of 19...he's obviously a bust. Maybe he means they are taking their time with him...2 years removed from his draft year and has 1 season under his belt.
Some people are just straight up clueless. |

Go away. It pains me to say, but I am glad Toronto is no longer the joke of the NHL. I watched last nights game and I have determined I hate your face. |

Agreed. I would think different if he went down and dominated the A while learning his role and looked like Marchand down there.

I'm glad you can figure out who I am by one sentence. Here's further explanation for you to avoid assuming. If konency figures to be a top 6 forward, wouldn't it make sense to leave him the top 6 and learn from his mistakes like Provorov has done all year. Once they decided not to send Konecny back to Junior, would it not have been more beneficial to leave him in the top 6 all year especially considering Hexy himself considered this a marginal playoff team? I thought player development was about putting prospects in roles they are expected to play going forward. Did the way konency was handled going to hurt him long term? Probably not. I'm just questioning the path of player development.
Maybe the hard core fans has no reservations about some of the personel decisions made this season. I guess only the casual fan.
