It will be nice to see Roslovic in his first NHL game. That being said , I am not 100% sure its the wisest move by the Jets. Look at what now happens to Copp because he played the last game of the season a few years ago. He is now eligible for the expansion draft. If Seattle or Quebec get an expansion team in say 2 years time then Roslovic will suddenly be eligible when he would not have been if he didn't play this season. I'm also not sure how it shortens his RFA status down the road. One less full year as a Jet ?

Just saying....He may deserve to play and in his hometown but its really not the wisest move by the Jets.

When it comes to expansion draft their is no difference between playing in the ahl or NHL. So it wouldn't matter.

Also, what happened to my Stuart comment?

Mark Stuart had it flagged!

All kidding aside, I think you may have used profanity.

5 wins in a row, wow! I think perhaps this team has finally gelled and started to play to their potential. But, however good the goaltending is right now, no one is going to fool me by saying we don't need a top tier goalie. Yes, it is nice that our goalies are plugging along with more solid performances but you need this throughout the year, not just at the end with no pressure. I am happy for Nogier and Melchiori to play at this level and seem to be doing well.

Armia is the next Frolik, he is so good at taking the puck in the corners from the defenders, defensive game is great and we know he can score. I sure like this players abilities, and playing with Lowry, I just think this is a line that will only get better. Those two are a pair that should remain as a pair on the same line, for the foreseeable future.

Still need a goalie for next year folks.

Roslovic in tonight....

For next year our lines should be:

Ehlers-Scheifele-Laine
Petan-Little-Wheeler
Connor-Roslovic-Armia
Copp-Lowry-Dano

I like the players but I see that lineup finishing in the bottom ten again. No sandpaper, not enough grit, I don't see an improvement to our PK. And still too young.

What were the chances that Stuart got a goal, an assist, but was a fight short of the Gordie Howe Hat Trick ?

playing Raslovik with Thorbs and Tanev tonight is a joke!!!

the lines for these last two games should be;

Petan / Shiefele / Laine
Ehlers / Little / Armia
Perrault / Lowry / Dano
Connor / Raslovik / wheeler

Lets try some things to see what we got? roll all 4 lines equally!! lets give Petan and Armia a chance to play with some better offensive guys and let the kids play with the Captain.

TheUltimateJet, that lineup is beautiful. Just noticing an absence of Perreault, which I assume means he's traded and Myers is Vegas bound.

My ideal lineup next year:
Ehlers-Scheifele-Laine
Petan-Little-Wheeler
Connor-Roslovic-Dano
Copp-Lowry-Armia
Matthias

Morrissey-Trouba
Enstrom-Byfuglien
B.Smith-Poolman
Postma

Hellebuyck
Darling

Myers needs to go. He's too expensive to be a 3rd pairing guy, not good enough to be top 4 on a contender, and too injury prone to be leaned on in a supporting role. VEGAS.

I love Perreault, but I'd be okay with moving him. His value will never be higher. He's prime aged, underpaid, and on an absolute tear. It's risky moving him now as we have no guarantee that Petan or anyone else can actually fill that hole, but I still do it. Go all in on youth, speed, and skill. Grit and physicality take a back seat to talent every time, and on every line. Pittsburgh showed us this last year, like Chicago did 3 times before. We already have the size as we're the tallest team in the NHL, so it's not even an issue.

Ya Pitt and Chicago had no grit lol!!!!!!! These line ups you and ultimate have wil put us right back in the lottery, so if that's what you want for another year then by all means. But I don't.

I'll go next year with:

Ehlers-Scheifele-Wheeler
Perreault-Little-Laine
Connor-Roslovic-Armia
Petan- Lowry- Free agent
Matthias

Morrissey-Trouba
Enstrom-Byfuglien
Chariot (only because he shoots left) -Myers
Poolman ( likely be AHL for a bit) or Postma

Hellebuyck
Darling (free agency)

Dano off to Vegas if they even want him. Jets also lose a 2nd round draft pick to keep Myers. Perreault is going nowhere. He is indispensable and his contract is actually very cheap.

How do you figure the highest scoring lineup in the NHL puts us back in the lottery? Lowry is our biggest, meanest, hardest hitting guy and he says not our best defensive forward. The main objective in a hockey game is to outscore the opposition. Copp, Lowry, Armia are all effective physical players (meaning they hit and gain possession of the puck because of it). Dano does the same. As is the case with Perreault, Wheeler, Scheifele, and sometimes Laine.

Pittsburgh and Chicago won cups without a single "banger", goon, or grinder. If you can't contribute offensively, and your idea of defence is hitting a lot, youre not welcome on my Jets.

Edit* in hindsight, Dano and Armia are probably our most effective hitters. They almost always come away with the puck.

I don't have time for you sometimes lol, go back and look at the line ups Chicago won with, you are out to lunch to say what you said. We are one of the highest scoring teams this year, where did it get us?

Bickel, Kruger, shaw, bolland, Carcillo. The Kings won cups with guys like Clifford and Nolan. We don't have enough sandpaper, you need sandpaper in the play offs. There is a reason Canada has dominated hockey in the olympics and not other finess countries. We bring a mix of skill and sand paper!!! Guys like getzlaf, benn, perry are the types of guys we need. Shiefele, raslovik, Connor, ehlers, laine, armia, little. Petan have no sandpaper!! We need a better mix!!!! I like our players individually as out prospects but you can't win with just skill. It takes a team. Nice to see Dano contributing to this 6 game win streak......oh wait, lol

Three more points for Perreault tonight. Just saying. Possibly the hottest guy in the entire NHL through the last 20 games. Heck of a deal at $4 MM. Jets absolutely cannot afford to lose him. He is also the hardest worker on the team along with Wheeler. Please find a way to keep him Chevy ......please !

Normally I might think that Little might end up being the guy who gets traded except its well known he would like to stay with the team and it would take a big big offer to make Chevy even think about trading him. I had big hopes for Nik Petan but now I see him as the prospect that is the most expendible. He could be bait for Vegas.

Keep an eye on Bjorkstrand in pools for next year. He will be a NHL star in another year or two. He was a scoring sensation in the WHL.
