Disco had to go or we'd have another setback season next year. If Murray refused to fire him then he had to go as well. Take the time, make the right picks for GM and coach, and change the attitude in the locker rooms throughout the organization.

It doesn't look like it. Eichel has come out and stated that was B.S.

But, who knows in the end what was really going on behind closed doors. It's an issue now put to bed.

I think we can put to bed the popular narrative by some that Bylsma was a Pegula hire. If what Pegula said at the presser wasn't true you know TM would leak out a refute.

Of course it's true. Sure he denied it, but that just made me believe it more.

Lets also not act like one bad year means the rebuild was a failure, this team while flawed, has some excellent pieces set up for the future and the now. I understand the frustration over this season, but I cant see how it ruins everything, if we get nothing from the tank years besides Eichel, I'm really not that disappointed, I thought that's why we tanked, to get one of McEichel.

i agree, and i was a believer of this. why murray kept him this long if he didnt have to is something i truly dont get. besides the vets who didnt wanna bite the hand that fed them, it sounds like most of the room didnt like him, and there was no development or success to speak of.

The denials from both Jack and his agent were a little too quick. There was an article he wasn't going to sign, and it just so happened that the same day, after it leaked naturally, he had a sit down with the Buffalo News. Ostensibly to talk about the season, but of course it came up and he had to deny the rumors. And then his agent goes on the radio all distraught like... It smelled from word one. And I don't blame him one bit. Would you want to play for a guy who benched you every time you tried something just the slightest bit outside "the system"?

If he did say it and I was told that he made that statement word for word 2 weeks before the press reported it, that he probably said it out of frustration after a loss and probably only said it to someone he either thought he could trust or it was over heard by somebody else. I would guess that we all have said things of that nature about our bosses that we don't really mean and regret saying when it comes to light. Jack is a young man still navigating his way through life in the fishbowl that is the NHL, and I don't think it should cause him to labeled a coach/GM killer. Now, if it happens again..
