Im not a fan of Jake the magic Bean too, I prefer Haydn Fleury or Noah Hanifin. They are more promising and better options for the Avs.

I'd say Dutch goes at the draft and brings back a high first rounder for them to use to grab one of the upper defencemen. They are going to need to be aggressive and get as much back as they can and use the draft to bring in fresh blood around a select group as the core. I think too they might make a move for a goalie if they can do something with Varly.

Seems the Canes would have more to offer the Avs unless the Habs can throw in Sergachev etc. I am not sure if just a 1st round pick is good enough but might possibly have to suffice if it is a top 10 pick . They need a top D man . Maybe they can package Barrie somehow in a deal as well . I wish they would just do the stupid draft order like the NFL does . None of these move down and up crap 8 to 12 spots. Avs and other teams got hosed. I doubt most teams are just going to lose and tank each season to the point where it's a huge issue . NHL needs to also go back to the normal playoff seeding as well. No top team should get booted in round 1 etc.

Bean is too one dimensional. Not a great 2 way d man. Hanifin plus 12th for duchene and bigras should do it. With 12th we get Juuso Valimaki

Funny, I just read that interview. I think he is going to be fantastic for the Avs. You know he is going to try and make an impression in the Championships to show the Avs. Zads, Bigras, Mirinov, Johnson, Barrie(unless we move him)

Could be a good pairing to start with. Gets even more interesting if we move Duchene for a D piece

All I'll say is don't be surprised if Dushene goes to the islanders for harmonic their 1st and possibly a roster player (forward )and a dman prospect, with the islanders 1st they'd be thinking (hopefully )to get Foote
