Here is my crazy prediction.
Habs will protect De la Rose.
Don't get me wrong, I have seen nothing in his play justifying to protect him over Hudon, in fact I agree with Jen's list.
But the organization has always given lots of praise to De la Rose, always considered him a top prospect. Even Lefevbre recently said on the radio that the best player in the AHL was De la Rose.
He's only 21 and everything points to the Habs still believing in him.
Either way, I still think the Habs will lose a defenseman in the draft. |

What a sad list!! - Snots33_77
Meh. If Pacioretty scored a few it would have made a big difference. +, you list a bunch of 4th liners and ahlers with some top 6 forwards. Not sure what it means.

Vegas need to take a player from each team, me think. |

I just copied and pasted the list of players from the blog that we have to chose from. There's like 3 good players in there. Terrible roster. |

Habs finished first in the Atlantic with what could be the worst forward group in the NHL.

There's more than 3 good players in there. I guess it depends how you see guys who had ups and downs (Shaw, Gallagher, and Galchenyuk). |

I bet this happens too! They would protect a guy like this (that their system should be producing by accident) and let they're most offensively gifted prospect walk without given a true shot. I have no idea what this kid did or what this organisations expectations/direction is anymore?? I give up trying to guess. MB is like the "Reverse Midas Touch" |

I was just being an ass because i'm so sick of the excuses and round hole/square peg approach by Bergevin. I'd say there's like 6 good players on that list. |

Also, the worst division by far. And what do we get for winning it? Drafting 25th!!! We lost like 4 spots by winning it!
LMAO!! They can't do anything right. They couldn't even tank properly at the end of last season!! Oh man, this just keeps getting better!

Go Habs Go!
Don't protect Shaw and Plek. - WaterBoy
Considering Bergevin just gave up two 2nd round picks to acquire him, he'd look pretty stupid letting him walk away. |

He traded Subban. Don't really think he cares what anybody thinks about him. |

True, but I feel like making a guy you paid a premium price to add just a year ago is somehow different than trading a popular player for another you think is superior.

That's all fine and dandy. The Washington Capitals also win the Presidents Trophy every year too. And what do they have to show for it? We need to be able to step it up in the playoffs and go deep. Not just win the weakest division, pull a no-show, and do the same thing over again after making copious excuses.
The bar has been lowered with this franchise. We need a cup banner. Not a divisional banner. |
