I watched that scouting video last week and it does give you a good feel. And there are even some stretches where he doesn't have the best of shifts. |

Like MB, I've already seen the video. The skills are obvious, but what impressed me more was his play without the puck and his positional/defensive awareness. The kid is the complete package. |

Since it wont let me edit.....
BUt overall he is a solid two way player with some jump and skill who gets to the right places on the ice and make plays.
I like his size as well, something the Flyers need more of down the middle for sure. |

Yes, and the way they present the video gives you a really good idea, that over a consistent period of time he plays the game the way it should be played. He is going to be a good NHL player.

i honestly get the feeling that a lot of fans arent too high on either Patrick or Hischier because they arent Eichel/McDavid.
While you arent getting a generational talent, you are getting an upper echelon player. Patrick is gonna be a legit top line 2 way center. Hischier, while not as big/strong or as touted for his defense, has an offensive driving force behind him. He makes offense happen and will be a bear in offensive zone. He is also very solid in the other zones as well.
I personally prefer Patrick, just because its hard to find a top line center that has the total package that he offers. |

I think the biggest positive is that they are going to be getting a much better prospect than anyone they would've drafted at 13-15. They're also at the position they need most. |

Only in Philly would there be a large group that will find the negative in moving up from the 14th pick to the 2nd pick.
Its amazing how over the past 4 years we have completely remade the farm system into perhaps the strongest in the NHL. Incredible. |

Damn right.
Have to say the defense cores of both teams are so fun to watch. Hopefully the Flyers are there in a few years. |

After seeing them against Chicago, I picked them to go to the Finals. They have the best D in the playoffs (Washington included), Rinne is playing like the Rinne who signed his extension sans Game 2, and they have a very underrated forward group. As long as Rinne doesn't completely implode, I think they beat the Ducks in 6. I wish they had Fiala. |

IE sucks, but what's so bad about Firefox? It allows me to open websites, except for HB right now. |

I kept getting flashbacks of the Rangers running goalies last night watching that game. I had to ask my husband to hold me. |

Which trade was worse Erat for Forseberg or Luke Schenn for JVR? |
