Megan, Chapu and Gaunce will all clear waivers. Boeser will make the team. |

Yep...how many goals did Magma-Chapoo-Gonch have combined?
Highly doubt Boeser will ever be on the Utica roster. |

I don't expect Dorsett to be on the roster much.
His salary and recent injury basically make him waiver exempt. Nobody is going to touch him.
So, send him to Utica to be a mentor for the kids there. We can eat the cap space it takes to bury him, and he can still be a beneficial part of the organization.
With the recent signings, and the additions of Boeser and Goldobin, plus the hopeful return of Rodin, I just don't see a spot for him in Vancouver.he could play out his remaining year and possibly work his way into a coaching gig, like Baumgartner and Keane did at the end of their careers. |

If the wanna keep someone that needs waivers, they might start BB in Utica, like they did with Stecher. |

Vanoxy I agree, although this team did nothing to imporve team toughness which is now a real weakness. |

Excellent article.
The players brought in for free agency were fine however I dont like the Gagne deal being 3 years unless they know the Sedins are retiring at the end of the season or they know that he can be flipped at the deadline with that contract.
I like the Rodin resigning although ive been very high on him since his draft. Hopefully he can stay healthy this season.
I like the MDZ deal again I wish 1 year. I think him playing with Tanev as you suggest will be really good for his game.
The other 2 are just filler on cheap one way deals which is great. I would have liked to add Yakupov on a one year deal. I have a feeling he will be back in the KHL as I doubt he would sign a 1 year 1 million deal. He can probably get 5 times that in russia see grigs.
All in all I am still left wondering when this rebuild is actually going to start. Trading a UFA and a player you would loose in expansion is not rebuilding, no tanev deal is not rebuilding and signing average players to multi year deals is not rebuilding.
This year is going to be a great draft and we need to add 3 high end defensemen to our prospect pool to go with OJ. This needs to happen quick so that these dmen are hitting their potential at the same time that all of our forward prospects are.
To me this is a make it or break it season and a large amount of moves have to be made or management needs to go. |

@maury
Idk really what u define a rebuild as.
Toughness at this point is not important without a set future competitive roster.
Til prospects develop its more auditioning & some stability than anything else.
I can see many more trades from now til 2019 happening. |

Buy out or trade for 6 th rounder - VANTEL
I don't know. I can't see anyone giving up even a 7th for him, considering his cap hit and neck injury. And a buyout is just wasted money.
I think Benning loves the guy and will probably keep him on the payroll regardless, so he might as well be in Utica, serving up meat and potatoes to all the boys. Plus be available for call up when needed. |

Hell no. Dorsett, assuming he is healthy, will help this team. A gritty vet that plays the game hard is needed on every team |

Would have rather let him go then unless like I said he can be moved at the deadline or they know sedins are done. |

It's the only risky signing. Could turn out to be a nice insurance option if the Sedins retire and we could trade him for picks. Or he could bust when he isn't sheltered by a strong team. The best thing about all of these signings are zero NTC |
