89 might be able to shed a little more light on it but basically after that tire fire season post contract extension he ripped him a new one and then a year later he's gone.
Kinda feels like that bridge is more than a little burnt |

regarding Kessel
I trust our gm, one way or the other |

I'm surprised Slavin got that kinda money. Agents usually don't use advanced stats for negotiations but they must have here |

if the jets retain 20 % of the salary, I would throw a second rd pick to get him back
and I was anything but a myers fan |

Having a strong farm system is obviously very positive and the right thing to do. What I don't understand is when and how did it get so bad? Was it under Darcy, GMTM or do they both deserve blame? If i remember correctly, when Murray was hired, he said it was really important to build a winning culture for the organization and that started in Rochester. Didn't happen. |

fringe playoff team under darcy, after the miller, vanek, roy, pommer season
gmtm did nothing to try to make rochester decent
this will be the first time, in a long time, I think rochester will have a team worthy of competing for the trophy

might have been a break in the development chain...may have been lambert or Cunneyworth or the system they were running in Rochester...murray also purged the amerks when the sabres were tanking...
what bothers me talent-wise is that they had five nhl contract openings that could've been used to bring in quality talent for Rochester but they never used them |

he did.... but look at what he did with his signings and lot at what Bots is doing.. GMTM barely signed anyone for rochester where as Bots is making that team better with almost every pick up this summer.

this bothered me to.. in one off season Bots made rochester respectable, that goes a long way in helping players like Nylander, guhle, baptiste and the others down there. without these moves these players would get all the pressure and that doesn't help them develope.. |
