Markov to Buffalo rumor is from EK, so nothing else needs to be said. Would love to see them sign Markov though and Vanek or Jagr. Then we'd be playoff serious. Not a bad thing to keep the kids in Rochester for a little longer - it is the Pittsburgh way

don't say there is nothing to it
markov and pk were tight
pretty sure they are still talking and pk is telling markov that housley would be a great coach if markov wants to play 2 more years in the nhl
just like the pommer bots connection, I firmly believe there is a connection here
is markov using the sabres as an angle to get a 2 year deal from the habs, not sure I buy that as the habs with their d issues should have already locked markov up
that would be real interesting...that said, i'm still pretty confident that they can make a real improvement over last season - Michael Pachla
only way signing markov is if they are thinking about trading mccabe, or using beaulieu as a 7th d man as I don't think markov or beaulieu play on the right side
then again maybe 1 does and they are thinking about trading/buying out bogo
If Markov rumors are true, it should mean the end for Georges, at least with the big club. Georges would provide some needed veteran experience in Rochester. I love the addition of Scandella, I think he is a solid defensive defenseman. Pominville brings a well rounded ability to help out in all situations. I paid close attention to Beaulieu in the second half of last season after picking him up for my fantasy team and I saw a good skating, big bodied player who wasn't afforded the opportunity to showcase his skills in Montreal, he wasn't allowed to skate the puck up ice, he was required to move it to the forwards and stay home in his zone. I am hoping Antipin doesn't take long to adjust to the NHL, he could be a steal. Pouliot is a low risk, high reward acquisition and I feel the same way about Jofeson. Chad Johnson, as we all are aware is a solid back up who can step up if needed. I think this team is going to surprise a lot of teams this year, they could make a push for the playoffs.

markov is the vet they need back there though - homiedclown
Don't think they'd trade McCabe - remember housley loves him, the captain of his USA team

I don't think they'll buyout bogo this year...from a financial standpoint it doesn't make much sense...plus, i'd like to see what Housley and hajt can do with this bunch and move from there

reminds me a bit of what bogo and risto had to do last year under bylsma

is there a younger group in the east?
other than the canes
