Thanks Carol.
I am expecting Bo to fulfill his lifelong dream this year and play in the Olympics. Also shows his respect to Willie, the coach who developed him.
Gaunce will join him. |

Thanks for the blog Carol.
I agree with Kuzma, 5 million is lowest I can see Bo signing for.
I don't really care what it ends up being, I have faith he will be worth his contract regardless of the amount, term, conditions. |

I think the longer term they sign him for, the better value the contract will be. With rising salaries a $5-5.5 cap hit should be below market for a 2C in 6+ years
That being said, I wouldnt blame Horvat for taking less term so he can get paid appropriately later on |

I think Bo deserves more....6 years @ 5.5 to 5.75 per year. $33MM to $34.5MM total. He is worth it. |

Cool little video. Ya, a lot of people don't know/were never taught how many lives Russia lost fighting Germany, and how big of an impact they had on that war. |

Its tough to predict where it'll end up. Anything beyond 4 years means they are buying UFA years from him, so does VAN want to keep some leverage and pay later, or bet on him now and pay a little more annually hoping he exceeds the value |

We are reminded of this as NATO masses troops on Russia's western borders. Last time there was this much build up on their border was just before Germany invaded in WWII. Russia only recently started counter deployment...

I think that was probably forgotten/ignored because of what Russia/USSR became after WWII. |

we can only pray nothing comes of it. The last thing the world needs is a war with russia. It would be extremely ugly and I suspect NATO would get their asses handed to them |

just my opinion. Often the home country has the advantage of knowing the land and its tactical advantages.
Russians tend to be very clever with their armies and could really surprise the world. They have been a superpower since the world wars for a reason.
whether or not they win in the long run is another thing as the 29 countries can add resources but regardless russia will certainly be more difficult than some might think. It would take a lot to overthrow russia
and after all NATO is STILL in Afghanistan and cant seem to win that 1 even. Not exactly looking good on NATO
but its just my opinion |
