Its like Rich Cimini, the beat reporter for the Jets for ESPN. He's OBSESSED with the buttfumble, constantly praises the patriots, and takes every opportunity to trash the Jets or make them look clueless. Well guess what. The Browns beat reporter certainly seems to be able to critically analyze his team without constantly trashing them.
Pach, at least you approach the team critically. You don't spend your blogs ranting (hello Tanner) or making up crazy predictions about how crazy awesome the team is (a la Garth). You give the facts, provide your analysis of those facts, and then leave the readers to make their own conclusions. All without poopting on the Sabres.
If Harrington doesn't want to cover the Sabres in a fair manner because they have been bad the last few years the find another (frank)ing job. Boo hoo Eichel doesn't want to talk to me cuz I rip the team in the papers. What the (frank) do you expect!?

flip side
when the team stinks, he should be allowed to write about them objectively and the team should man up and answer the questions
sully got the same label when he ripped the bills, when they deserved it
just because Buffalo is a small town sports market doesn't mean the beat writers should coddle the team as if they do no wrong

There's been plenty of players that have refused to speak to him. If I'm remembering correctly, Miller said something to him once that he wasn't going to talk to him because all he was going to do was twist his words around into something completely different from what he actually said.
He has a reputation around Buffalo, and it's certainly not a good one. From a fan or athlete perspective.
