I might have to watch it. I'll do it Breaking Bad style where I wait until the series is done - sbroads24
I did that with Breaking Bad as well.
The next season for GoT does not start until January 2019 (or later). I figured now is as good a time as any given the long layover. |

So far i am liking Pach's line-up. Throw the playmaking Skunk on as the right winger and that's a formidable 1st line.
Regarding Kane, no news is good news with him. Hopefully he is maturing off the ice. With this being a contract year for Kane, I could see him going 32 goals and 20 assists, assuming he stays healthy. |

I love this series. Gets you thinking about the individuals rather than the whole...or in some cases, the negatives.
What's the chances he's traded or extended? Is that dependent on his performance or our performance? If he's extended, would he take less than 6M? Does he only want a 6x6 type deal, if so, would anyone else give him that? Lots of question marks with him. |

if kane is on eichel's wing for 75 games he is getting a lot more than 52 points

Yeah, i thought of that as well. Thinking he might turn into a 35 - 40 goal scorer. But he's never approached 40 before so i backed off on that number.

THN's Matt Larkin had kane way down at #8 in his list of top-10 trade candidates:
"The Sabres have a savvy new GM in Jason Botterill and a rising star coach in Phil Housley. They’ve added Nathan Beaulieu, Marco Scandella and Victor Antipin to their blueline. They should get a full healthy season of superstar in the making Jack Eichel. Ask yourself, “Will the Sabres improve on last season’s 78 points?” and most of us will say yes. But now ask if the Sabres can beat out three of Tampa Bay, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Ottawa, Pittsburgh, Washington, Columbus, the New York Rangers and Carolina and make the playoffs. It’s highly unlikely.
"Instead, we should see the Sabres improve by five or 10 points but not enough to realistically compete for a playoff berth. Now let’s shift our case to Mr. Kane, a big, strong, physical winger coming off a 28-goal season and becoming an UFA in 2018. His skill set and situation scream playoff rental, regardless of any questions about how he jives with dressing room chemistry. His current deal carries a $5.25-million cap hit. If he wants anything close to that AAV on his next contact, it might give Botterill pause, as Eichel, Sam Reinhart and Robin Lehner are RFAs next summer and could combine to eat up about $20 million on their extensions starting in 2018-19. It thus might make sense for Buffalo to move on from Kane and deal him at the deadline." |

he shot at a 10.8% rate last season, second best in his career...the prior three years when he was shooting willy-nilly he averaged around 7.5%. |

Seems to be a pretty honest assessment of what will happen, we improved, so we will rise in the standings, but I understand the skepticism about us making the playoffs this year. Also it makes sense to move Kane in many ways, I'm just not sold on it myself, I think he could be the perfect player for playoff hockey. Only time will tell, but from the sounds of things he's pretty surely gone. |

haven't heard anything about contract extension talks, but even if they're in the process, nothing will surpass jack's contract extension talks |
