FIRST!
"Forsberg will likely be in between the pipes tonight in Columbus, behind a lineup that can best be described as part Ice Hogs, part Indy Fuel, part bartender. "
While the Jackets have a much more NHL-heavy roster for tonight's game. Excited to see the defense prospects and bubble-forwards tonight against a CBJ Lineupe with plenty of NHL experience. Also interested to see Schmaltz at C... |

Well if Forsberg is the goods, it won't be able to be blamed on "he plays behind the best D in the league".
Probably the worse D in some time.
Also from last blog;
Thank you Wiz for the "Flipper" my guess is he makes the club, and a year from now, no one here will remember what his real name is |

Crawford may well be one of the least appreciated/most undervalued Hawk player in recent memory. The guy is a rock.
If he were to go down for an extended period, things could get scary fast. It will be very interesting to see what the kid can do. |

Not sure Sakic could bungle that situation up more than he as already. |

I will have an eye on Dauphin, Forsberg, a few others. Also just watch the game and see who jumps out good or bad and why. |

Our entire PP idea seemed like "get the puck to the D man for the one timer, whether it be Gus or Franson"
Nice work by Hayden to set up in front of the keeper for a lot of it though. big body is tough to see past/through |

Will be interesting to see if its still enforced as strictly 3 or 4 weeks from now. Like the slashing rule being tightened |

It's going to especially be interesting for all the best faceoff guys since they were the experts of cheating on that rule. |

How ironic yet appropriate the first Blackhawk goal and assists
They are in our blog comments often.
Goal Franson, assist Forsling. And whom else but the new big point producer to be - (?)- - Schmaltz - with the other helper.
Other: the announcement to media by Eddie O as I recall said that he is getting the best care and treatment. He expects to be back broadcasting. There may have been something along the line of catching it early. Sounds like cancer to me. Hurry back Eddie. You will be missed. I hope one of your horses does well |

Forsberg was great in net.
Loving David Kampf. He is all over the place causing defensive havok. Hayden rock solid...2 shots, a good hit, screening the goalie and I think 2 for 2 on the dot, Schmaltz good, Flipper good...Franson is so slow, but he does have a good feel in the offensive zone. Vinnie husting hard. Jurco doing nothing other than throwing puck to other team. |

I think both have been very good tonight. Ruuta was a bit panicky early, but has settled down and has looked great in this 2nd period. He seems to just be a solid player. Gus was very fun to watch on the early 5v3 PP, nice puck movement and blasted a shot off the bar. Haven't seen Gus much in the D-zone. |

Dauphin is definitely making his case. Samuelsson has the PK clicking. |
