Ben Case: Hurricanes Looking To Keep Powerplay Streak From 2014 Alive Against Jets A year ago yesterday the Carolina Hurricanes (1-0-1) were playing on the road against the Winnipeg Jets. (2-2-0) The Hurricanes started strong and took a 4-1 lead only to watch the Jets claw back and win it 5-4 in OT. Despite that one blemish, the Hurricanes have done well recently against the Jets and hold a 3-0-1 in their last four meetings.

Canes need a strong state fair road swing to energize the base for this season.

Need at least 6 points out of possible 8.

Good analysis. Sad thing is if it wasn't for our player deployment and beer league coaching our top 9 could be as good as any in the league.

That'd be a good start for attendance. I'd be interested to see if there is much of an improvement in attendance for them if they came back with a record of 4-1-1.

It would seem that WPG is the cure historically for Hurricanes PP.

The PP had good chances v. CLB. They had better puck movement than I've seen from them in a long time and set up a few good one-timers in the OT.

Yeah, Kruger is a pain in the ass for other teams. He's great at flipping the ice for O-zone draws for the top line guys.
