I think Hicketts is going to step in later this year when Kronwall’s knee grinds down to his ankle. Can’t wait to see that.

their problem is two things:

-they havent drafted a stud/top pairing defenseman since Kronwall and since they havent done this there has been no one internally to replace Kronwall.

-its near impossible to trade for top pairing star defensive anchor, the closest theyve come in recent years is Suter in terms of signing/trading for one..

-they have to fix this because now its a very mediocre group, Dahlin would give u a anchor for the next 10+ years
