Thank you Carol,
Hopefully the young kids keep on playing well and leave JB with some difficult choices.

I wouldn't get the hopes up. Seen the likes of Tate Olson and Carl Neill put up big points in their draft plus years. JB's drafting of D in the later rounds 5-7 haven't panned out yet. |

What a game!!!!!
Dorsett is the heart and soul of this team! Great to have him back! Even after a road trip our boys came back and fought so hard and played so well just for us! What a special warm feeling I have inside me! I feel so satisfied!
We are all Canucks!!
Thanks Everyone! |

Fair comment, I appreciate the honesty! But I'll have to politely decline with more than all due respect!

Although The Leafs are Amazing at 7-3-0.... the Canucks are merely meh at 6-3-1.
But if you look at TSN right now, Their top 6 stories are all Leaf related. Talk about drinking the cool aid... no wonder Leaf fans have no chance at being level headed. |

Team defence was great all around once again. I only counted 2 grade A scoring chances form the Caps all game. That team usually gets one every other shift on a good night even without a few of their regulars in the lineup. Mind you we were missing a few key players too.
Guys who stood out were
Bo, Baer and Boes for obvious reasons.
The entire defense core were pretty much perfect throughout the night
Sam Gagner with his stare down on DSP
Burmistrov. he's one heck of a shifty player in tight. Getting more and more comfortable every game. He could be our best off-season signing by the end of the year.
Brandon Sutter with great possession play down low in both ends of the ice.
Granlund with some nice defensive plays and a beauty of a goal.
DD15. Where do I start? he was noticeable almost every shift he played last night. Chipped in with another g-note and set up another. Best part of his game was when he gave Ovie a shove into the boards which prompted Ovie to take a charging penalty on him right after.
Sedins weren't liabilities at either end of the ice. That is good enough for me.
Virtanen same as above.
Vanek was decent. Not impressive but if he can chip in here and there and back check into the defensive zone every other time, than I call that a successful night for him.
Basically one of the rare times we can say every guy played well. Even Markstrom looked good riding the pine.
Before I forget.
Good job Carol, keeo it up and you will get a contract extension for sure. |

No idea why you can't leave your feet in a hit but in a fight, it's high-light stuff. I see a law-suit.

So I was back reading the last blog & there was a lot of good posts.
Of course not many ppl give out much credit nor appreciate enough about how the team is progressing. Chalk it up to apprehension maybe idk.
My take is TG is as I expected & runs a great show. His resume & coaching style is at the heart of it all to date. The PP is still my main focus for us to keep improving upon & be consistent. In the long haul the special teams can dictate how a season or the PO’s success turns out. So far many good signs & much better puck movement.
I’m not big on comparisons as a rule cuz what happened in the past is where it belongs. That said our team depth this year allows many options for TG to find what he wants on a game by game basis & as games get down to the nitty gritty. He gets some pretty good efforts & results from his roster. The bigger vet presence is what i believe helps most & adding the kids to that is a good mix. |
