First. Solid game from the Canucks. As good as any in this young season.

Thank you, Carol.

Thanks Carol.
Really enjoying watching the Canucks aggressive forecheck style.
Dreams of Rasmus Dahlin starting to fade though.

I thought that was probably the most exciting Canuck game since our last match up with the Leafs.

Most entertaining game the Canucks have played in over 3 years. Everyone was bringing it except for the Megnaficent one. Which we all saw coming. After last nights effort. there is no doubt in my mind we can play with the top dogs and win on any given night.

Let's keep it up and play with the same intensity against the Devils and Im sure we can pull off a W.

Great effort all around last night. As mediocre as people perceive the Canucks (which they just may be). They’ve been playing some pretty good hockey lately. Minus the first period in Boston. Brock missing from the pp last night showed the impact he has when he’s out there. If the Canucks can keep this up I think the hockey world will be surprised come the end of the year. Yes I know it’s early in the season but it’s still exciting.

I like Pouliot. He's got some holes in his game, but I think he was a good pickup.

I think he's been pretty inconsistent, his defensive game is weak and I wish he was a better skater but he moves the puck pretty well and looks smooth on the PP. Hopefully he'll improve with more NHL experience.

It was a pretty fun game for sure. Both teams probably could have scored 3-4 goals if the goalies weren't so good.

Sutter line was fantastic against the Seguin-Benn unit. Tanev and Hutton did great as the shutdown duo against them as well.

Felt kinda bad for JV, Sedins were too slow for the pace of the game so he didn't have much help. Also thought Gudbranson struggled with the pace.

Biega played great as well. He was manhandling the Dallas forwards all game long and did a surprisingly good job moving the puck and joining the rush.

For sure, his defensive game needs some work... but in a world where we have Gudbranson and Tanev in our top 4, it's nice to have a guy who can man the point on the PP.

Markstrom was one hell of a back checker last night.

Yeah, intense game with a few crazy moments. Bishop was a wall. Canucks failing on so many grade A chances were mostly about him. I think we crush Dallas and their one line team otherwise.

I didnt get to see the game. Seems that they played well. Some missed opportunities to score. Couple posts cost them. Need the finish to compete with the big boys.

Rodin in for Megma if BB cant go tomorrow?

Did JV get a chance with Bo line?

I agree with your post Nucker, I'm kinda surprised at how well of a checker Dorsett has turned into. He has been keeping the top players in check, while at the same time getting some quality chances of his own.

I kinda felt bad for JV also, but I can see vast improvements in his game, and I'll bet it's from playing and learning from the Sedins.

I like Gudbranson, I'm so happy he is back there, he lays some pretty solid hits, and Biega as well, otherwise I think the bigger players would run our smaller players like last year.

From last Thread.

I played a high/competitive level of soccer for most of my life, and also played a bit of everything else through my life. Soccer is the hardest cardio-wise, I think, and hockey is tough as it's more like full body sprints... you don't need the longevity of soccer, but you need the allover explosiveness in short bursts. Probably more like football in that manner.

Although, I recently started swimming, and holy hell that's a completely different thing. I can still run 15km, but can just manage 500m or so of swimming so far.

I have played Organized Soccer, Rugby, Ice Hockey, Voodoo Style Roller hockey and baseball. At least 3 yrs of each. 20 yrs of Rep Soccer (Metro then DIV1)

Rugby, I believe is the hardest Cardio Wise. It combines Football and Soccer, adding physicality to the endurance factor with not very many stoppages.

Jake played 1 shift with Bo line. Very fast paced game and his regular linemates had difficulty keeping up.
Rodin will probably get in for tomorrow's GAME, although I would like to see Biega take the spot up front and Weirchoch put into lineup.

I think there were some independent studies a few years back and they said pro Motocross riders had the toughest cardio with Soccer a close second...or vice versa can't remember.
