TY Carol,
Benning always said if a young player plays well he'll make a spot for him.
When Edler returns, how does that affect Pouliot?
Both left D. |

And down the road, if Granlund is healthy and JV is waiver exempt, maybe you go with:
Sven-Bo-Brock
Daniel-Henrik-Granny
Vanek-Burmistov-Gagner
Gaunce-Sutter-Dorsett
edit: this seems much weaker somehow than our current lineup. |

If JV keeps playing only 9:30 per game then yes. Rather see him lighting up the AHL with Goldobin and get PP time to get back some offensive flair in his game.
He can't even throw as many hits with the Sedins since it's his job to be the first forward back defensively on that line. |

ya. he's definitely not playing his usual style, but hopefully he's learning and developing other facets of the game...as long as he doesn't forget how to steamroll people next year, i'm good with it.
But i see your point.
I'm just glad he's shown that he belongs in the league. For much of the last year, people have been bagging on him, saying he's a bust, immature, etc.
I think he's shown that he'll do whatever the coach asks, which is good to see. |

Though I think his time with the Sedin's has been beneficial, I agree that 10 minutes without special teams isnt ideal for his development. AHL until another injury hits is ok by me, he has been a pleasant surprise thus far |

I'd keep MDZ-Hutton together, they have been fairly solid. I'd also give Pouliot a shot with Edler in Stecher's spot, give him a chance to prove himself, even though that would mean a Gudbranson/Biega pairing |

Not good for him, also not sure how he would respond to Trent Cull in lieu of Green. |

True. I'm not 100% against him staying up because I do feel like he's learning some things in his role and he seems to play well for Green, but at same time I prefer him developing his offensive/physical game and getting more minutes/PP time as well.
There's definitely an upside and downside to both situations. |

best thing JV can do is take his game up a notch and force their hands. |

Green really likes to keep his left and right defensemen on their proper side. So I am wondering if we may see Jalen Chatfield in the line-up this road trip. |
