I don't know about being comfortably in a playoff spot, but at least they are in the conversation (Boston is only one point behind with 4 games in hand). All this while Pacioretty has been kind of quiet this year (so far). |

The Ducks have D men coming out their ears... he was Ducks 5th best D man at this time.
Meanwhile they need skilled F like a dying man needs water... Kesler / Getzlaf / Eaves / Silf / Rakell / out name me one team... ONE you goof .. that could survive 5 top 6 forwards out for a quarter of the season and be in the thick of playoff race... please don't be so obtuse... Rico is a solid all around player who's already been a terrific move and Blandisi is better than I thought he'd be already....
They beat Blues and took Cbus & Preds to the limit on B2B's when they get healthy they're gonna Roll the league.
Ducks still have Mahura / Pettersson / Larsson / Megna / Andy Welinski all coming in the next 2 years ... |

Did you mention to your boy that faceoffs don't matter and it isn't anything to get excited about?

Hey James. Please write more. I think some of your concepts are completely out the window but I really do enjoy reading your blogs...especially about the coyotes. Fell free to write a couple of these types of blogs a week.
PS. Congrats on the goal, even though you didn't score it. It's such a thrill for us parents too and never grows old. |

Congrats to your son. Nothing like it when love for the game is rewarded. Here's to many more so you can learn to handle it better |

Tanner:
Did they give you the puck?
If so, Google up "trophy puck holder" - you can get something good for around $10-20.

My kid got the puck after his 1st goal, i took it and threw it out the window on the way home. Dont want to raise a softie.

Should've thrown the kid out the window. No way he would end up a softie then...
Or you could change his name to Sue |

Nice rink. Half of me hopes it gets cold enough for my local ones to go too, other half is hoping this warm winter continues. |

True Wedgie story:
I always give the kids on my teams their first goal puck.
One girl kept telling me she couldn't wait to finally get her first ever goal - and puck.
She finally popped one a few weeks ago at a tournament. At the end of the game, I told her not to go into the dressing room (no cameras allowed).
So I collect her dad, make the presentation. Ask her dad if he wants to take a photo.
"No, I'm good."
"Do you want me to take one on my phone and email it to you?"
"Thanks, but no."
He's a great guy, so I kinda wondered why he was being such a Richard.
As luck would have it, we sat next to each other an hour later for a team lunch.
We got talking about it. I politely expressed my surprise he wasn't more excited about his daughter's first ever goal.
"Did she really tell you that? What the hell? She scored plenty of goals last year - including a few hat tricks."
We were pissing ourselves laughing for the rest of the lunch. I kept asking the kid questions like if that was the first chicken nuggets she's ever eaten, etc. |

Nice looking rink.
If you improve it a little each year you'll be like my neighbour in no time with a full set of boards, lighting etc all set to go by mid october. |
