They want him because him and Jack are friends even though it is obvious that Vesey did not want to play for the Sabres and didn't care that Jack was there. Also a first plus Nash for salary purposes and then and try and resign Nash. Why he thinks that Nash wants to stay around anybody guess. |

Its funny....I posted five hours ago, when Garth was simply reporting on the injury. I joked Kane to NYR. He expanded on the original post, adding the Kane, Kreider, Vesy, Nash nonsense
First of all, Nash has a no movement clause. He is not waiving it to come to Buffalo. Secondly, the total amount of salary coming back ($13.5M) would put the Sabres over the cap. Even with Kane's money going out.

Garth you're amazing. Rick Nash has a Modified NTC. He lists 12 teams he'd accepted a trade to. You think Buffalo makes the list?
The only way he even considers waiving it is if overpay on a longer term deal that takes him to retirement. You'd have to be a fool to even consider this based on this year and his 2 previous years. |
