So according to this, there are 8 scenarios that could play out between Buffalo, Tennessee, Baltimore, and LA (assuming a Bills win, not the tie, which isn't going to happen). Buffalo would make the playoffs in five of them.

O'Reilly scored eight points, which is...consistent. Unfortunately for a team as goal-starved as the Sabres are, and with him skating a forward-high 20:27/game, one would hope for a little more in the scoring department. On the positive side, he lead the team in plus/minus last month with a plus-2.
This gets me to thinking, how many of O'Reilly's minuses are EN goals against? He's basically on the ice for every empty net try. It has to be at least 6 |

Buffalo gonna be nuts tonight if the Bills get in.
I hope they do. It'll ease the pain of the Sabres season that much more. |

Honest question: Do empty net goals count toward +/-? |

Yeah. It shouldn't imo. It should count as a PK |

If I were MCDermott, I’d start Casey Mittelstadt at QB today! |

That's why I asked. Completely agree. You aren't even scoring on a goalie. |

From the last blog:
IonSabres - I always respect your opinions and share many of them:
Suprised that the season blame would fall on McDemott’s decision to start peterman at SD.
if tyrod started and played like he did in the past few games against the jets and saints , I doubt the bills would have won.
It's always difficult to fly cross country and win
San Diego was/is on a roll at that time
SD defense at home would have made this game difficult to win with either qb (in my opinion)
I see mcdermott as a great motivator and personal expert, but the game day decisions are questionable for sure.
I thinks it's hard to do all 3 things well.
Different skill sets.
Hopefully he has enough confidence in his offensive coordinator to make those 4th down decisions moving forward.

Those individual PP statistics are brutal. It's unfathomable how a team can go from the best PP in the league to the worst within one year yet the players remain the same. Whoever is responsible for the abysmal PP needs to be fired at the end of the season.
But more importantly today, the Bills squish the fish 16 - 14. |

Trade Kane and Reinhart for D prospects (beane/julovi/fluery/larsonn) or picks to take a D. Draft Brady with our pick.
Tkachuk/Eichel/mitts.
Win.

Tl/dr version:
Bills MUST win, and:
either a Ravens loss, or a loss by both the Titans and Chargers. |

Thanks Boss, we do have very similar thoughts
My reference to McDermott starting Peterman was purely in jest. It turned out to be a horrible, absolutely horrible performance, but that doesn’t mean the Bills win that game with Tyrod starting...especially since he had what 55 yards passing the previous week...which was the root cause for Our OC giving McDermott an ultimatum to start Peterman or else.
There is absolutely no argument anyone could put forth to convince me they win that game.
As for McDermott, he does show ultra-conservative tendencies with in-game decisions.
Hopefully he can be open to learn and take advantage of certain situations, like going for it on 4 &1 in the Pats game, as well as going for it rather than punting when inside the opponents 40.
I love the new management group at One Bills Drive .. doesn’t make them perfect, but I have far more faith.
I am hoping for the same to be demonstrated by Botts and Housley.
Housley has a lot to learn it is quite obvious.
If Botts can unload some of these overpaid underachiever contracts..I might vote for him for President! |

Would love to see Botts get two early 1st round selections somehow...some nice talent up there we could use. |
