tough break literally and developmentally for that Lockwood kid.
If it is a 6-9 mo recovery, that's a long time off the ice.
Can we recall Boucher and put him with Brock? |

Thanks Carol, tough break for Lockwood. |

Going back to the last thread. Brock and Austin are amazing but I would take Matthews 100 times out of 100. |

lol Flames gotta go 25-15 over their last 40 to get a sniff of the WC...good luck - LordHumungous
Thanks man! Its appreciated!
Edit: Flames are 2 points behind SJ who is 3rd in the west and has played one less game, 1 point behind Anaheim who has played 2 more games. Not a stretch to think they could get in. But not holding my breath either. |

They could make it...but the percentages are against you. Need a lot of help from the Eastern teams beating clubs above you and there is the 3-4 pt game factor withing the division/conference. Gonna be tough but would like to see the Flames pull it off. |

at 1.09 PPG Brock is clearly headed for Gretzky like numbers while Matthews is stuck at a paltry 1.04 PPG. Regardless of games played Brock of ages is clearly the player to have... |

Love those prospect updates Carol!
JG and Mckenzie on a line, I like it! that could be a glimpse into our future 3rd line right there.
Gaudette
Really hope we see him in a Canucks sweater before the end of the year. |

A centre like that is a much more critical piece than a winger... even if their offence output is very similar. Agreed.

i believe it was Whitelie that raised a very good point a few blogs ago about this.
With expansion coming any players that are brought in at end of season will have used up a year of professional contract. if expansion happens as suggested, these players will have used up the 2 years of professional contract by the end of next season, meaning they will have to be protected.
Assuming the same rules apply as the Vegas expansion.
I know we dont have lots of talent that might not be worth protecting, but we may be able to use that to use it to our advantage by relieving some teams of assets at a reasonable cost. |
