Sam Hitchcock: Hedman’s Promising Return Can’t Slow the Jets

Was surprised to see Hedman back in the line-up that quickly. I didn't even get to take him off IR in time for my fantasy team before last night's game started before finding out. Fortunately, he didn't do all that great so it wasn't a big deal.

His return for Tampa is huge though, teammates and fans must be happy

gotta love fans when they break down every pass and play - true fanatics.

What a player that Hedman is - wow. Comparables adjusted for era: Larrry Robinson? Dennis Potvin? Rob Blake?. Physicality and all-round premium play.

That is a great team in Tampa - the best in the league for a reason. Hopefully we get to do it all over again with these guys and the cup in the house.

I think Coop needs to shake up the lines a bit.

Ideally, it would be Palat-Stamkos-Kucherov....

Stop utilizing Killorn as much and demote him. Put Kunitz in his place on a 3rd line/PK and stick Killorn on the 4th line.

There is no need to panic and start blending lines. Kucherov and Stamkos should remain together for now and try finding a wingman who can stir the drink. I've always thought Palat should get a shot at the top line, but it's a moot point until he recovers.

Hedman's injury exposed our lack of quality depth on D. We need to address that before the playoffs.

Seriously though, he was overdue to have one of these nights. I would be thrilled to see him repeat this feat more often.
