Yea for many of your reasons is why I don't see McDonagh getting traded. Boston and Tampa don't seem to want to give up enough for him and the Rangers need to stand firm on their demands.

At this rate of their d'men being sidelined, I can't grasp had this been between 3 to "I don't want to remember how many seasons ago back", with the way A.V. loves to use his veteran players vs. his kids. With Holden then likely playing on the 1st unit with Skjei, A.V. would have deployed a 2nd pairing tonight of McIlrath & H'mrlik if both were here right now, for however the latter's name was spelled, which I would not want to remember at all.
