Oh my god. That Twins and Jokinen line might be the slowest line in existence. |

Pair them with Edler and Guddy as a 5 man unit. D zone starts only.
Really gotta find ways to lose the last handful of games against Edmonton and Arizona to protect the tank. |

I was thinking about next year and the decisions that are going to be have to be made on who they keep and who they let go. I have counted 19 forwards if the Sedins come back and they will likely only keep 13. Some are easier choices than others but which 6 do they either cut, trade or send to the AHL:
Horvat, Boeser, Baertschi, Leipsic, Virtanen, Sutter, Ericksson, Sedin, Sedin, Gaunce, Granlund, Motte, Archibald, Goldobin, Peterrson, Gaudette, Boucher, Dowd, Gagner. |

To the best of my understanding the bolded all require waivers. So that's a pretty easy place to start. |

I like Tanev. Hodgson looks like his ceiling is Daymond Langkow. Not a bad player, but not the first line talent you were hoping for. Shirokov looks decent, but I think he's a call-up type player and Schroeder looks like a bust. Not the best prospect pool.

I'm guessing you've never played hockey? Your just a typical sports nerd who only looks at stats. I'm embarrassed for you. Hodgson was the best player on the team last season with a weak offensive group. It was his first year back from a year off injury/missed development and his first year playing pro hockey. Let that resonate for a second. The best player in his rookie season. The kid is extremely skilled and his vision is off the charts better than any leaf on the whole team. The only thing holding this kid back from being an NHL superstar is his skating. Eventually the game will slow down for him and he'll get stronger and I dont think itll be that much of a problem. He has intangibles that a leaf fan wouldn't understand. It isn't always about points. I played for a long time and there was a kid by the name of Brandon McMillan who I played with for seven years. He never put up nearly the amount of points as some half the players on my team but he was our best player. He won games for us just by being on the ice and he found his was onto Getzlafs line last year. I think your going to be in for a rude awakening this season. Hodgson future Canucks captain. Kadri future suitcase. - Boinker

As I always said; never would I EVER trade away Hodgson for Kadri. Neither would 30 GM's if given the situation. Kadri hasn't had anywhere near the junior career Hodgson has, not even remotely. It's starting to translate into the NHL as well.

I remember saying "i'd be happy with a consistent 60 points outs of Hodgson" and being called a "Leafs homer" and "troll" |
