That James Neal goal was a beauty.
I think Kopitar was embellishing that massively. He got hit by a glove, not a butt end.
I also love seeing Doughty acting like a dummy and then getting burned on the game sealing goal. Hoping for the sweep! |

Embellishment?? What a stupid thing to say! He deserves a game as does Marchessault for trying to take Doughty’s head off at the end of the 2nd period! |

With all of the Kings' physical play, the Neal goal came down to Fantenberg not finishing his check and letting him lose on Quick's left. That's a focus error, and it led to the 2-1 lead that deflated the Kings. The playoffs are about the "little things", and Vegas is executing in a very close series.
Props to Vegas. Those guys want it more and have been unrelenting. Galant has done a fantastic job. |

All the goals were board plays. Very intelligent hockey by Vegas! They deserve it. |

It was a world-class move on a rookie. Totally baited him in to the check, got him on the outside, spun to the inside all alone. The difference is Neal finished that tweeners where Carter/Toffoli/enter top 6 forwards here, get their shot saved. Flower is outplaying Quick right now. Even the Karlsson goal, their finishers are finishing and ours are shooting wide or getting stopped.
What needs to be addressed by the Kings, and it might be too late to matter, is the sloppy puck handling in their zone. That tying goal was on Carter for not getting it out at the half-wall. led directly to the pressure and the scrambling and the goal. GET THE (frank)ING PUCK OUT!! Too many lazy clearing attempts. I understand the GK forecheck is relentless, I get it, but we're talking about tested veterans hot potato-ing the puck when it isn't necessary.
When the Kings didn't capitalize on the PP that opened the 3rd (or any other for that matter, but this one specifically) I knew they wouldn't hold on. too many chances to take control of the game squandered. Even with more SOGs, the quality of shots just aren't there. Nobody in the slot for rebounds, and only one goal was not a deflection.
Lastly, it really bothered me that the Kings first goal went down the way that it did with the wave off and checking and all that poop. Really killed the momentous moment that I feel should've been something that should've really picked the boys up. They didn't come together on the ice in celebration because of the confusion, the GHK players didn't have to watch them take it in and skate the bench, it wasn't as deflating as it could've been. We'll see what tomorrow brings, but 3-0 is not feeling real good. |

I’m stating specifics related to the game to which the NHL or the refs can’t seem to garner any consistency. I think we can both agree with that!
I think so far Vegas is the better team! |

In the third period, I don't recall the Kings having much sustained pressure in the offensive zone. Vegas was able to cycle the puck, but the Kings were one-and-done in the Vegas zone and, like you pointed out, the shots were coming from distance or bad angles.
This does not feel like San Jose, 2014, unfortunately, and I think the Kings are done in 4 or 5.
I hope you're satisfied, Sheng.

Well, Kings had a good run this season. Didn’t think it would be 3-0 after 3 games but it is. I’m pissed, but Vegas is out playing Kings on almost every offensive opportunity these games have to offer. Quick has been unbelievable! Draft well, get Vilardi in the lineup, maybe get a top 6 forward (JVR or Neal would be nice) at right price, and maybe get another vet on deffense via trade somehow. Kings will compete again for top 3 spot in west. |

The amount of people that picked the Kings to win this series, from so called "experts" to fans (although that was mostly out of jealousy/hate) was amazing to me. Granted the series isn't over just yet, but still it is clear that Vegas matches up great against this Kings team.
Sure the Kings may have the bigger star players in Kopitar, Quick, Doughty, Carter... But Vegas just has more depth and are a much much quicker team and it shows. Kings have 2 lines really, Kopitar's and Carter that's it, they also have the best defenseman on the ice but overall i like the 3 lines of Knights better. Really i thought Quick would need to be a wall for the Kings to win the series, he has been for the most part but still not enough.
All those "they have the experience" picks i couldn't stop laughing at. It means jack poop when you can't keep up with the other team. |

To me it was insane that so many people picked the Kings to goto the cup finals or win it all. They barely made it into the playoffs.
I thought Vegas would do as they did since game 1. Come out and just play their game and they have. I don't get why anyone thought they'd just fold like a cheap Maple Leafs team once they the playoffs. They were a top team in the West for a reason this year. |

Where in the hell did you get this information from, Eklund?? No one picked the kings to go to the cup finals this year. You have to be an idiot to pick them. And to win it All? Yeah no one said this either. Every insider I’ve seen it’s been either Boston, Nashville, Lightning, Penguins. Those have been across the board the odds on favorites to win it all... again, where in the hell did you come up with this crap? |

Listen here child.
First of all no reason to get your panties in a bunch because the Kings can't beat an expansion team once in the playoffs and take it out on me. I was having a friendly conversation with someone.
Secondly, have you listened the TSN panels and the experts? A lot of people, fans included, had the kings going to no less than the conference finals with Nashville (usually) or the cup finals.
Cool your britches. |

First off, never did I once take it out on you
Second, An expansion team that ripped through the league like a wet paper towel with the easiest expansion rules of all time.... again, you have to be an idiot to pick the kings to make it to the cup finals
Simply asked where you got this bogus info from

Then you have no grounds to criticize what I said. You came here to accost me of my opinion asking for sources but didn't view any such sources yourself?
Enjoy your sweep by an expansion team. Regardless of how the team came to be it's still an expansion team and Kings lost out to them in the first round. |

We’re just happy the Kings made the playoffs which most credible experts said probably wouldn’t happen. Fans don’t count ! |

Flower is outplaying Quick right now. - Stu17
Except for perhaps the Neal goal, Quick has been outstanding. Of course, Fleury has been great too. But it's been pretty even between them. Fleury saw more pressure in Game 3; Quick is the first two games. Been a pleasure to watch these guys duel. |

He's been outstanding, but still being outplayed. all but one goal past Fleury have been deflections. I cant even think of posts the Kings have hit while Gk have hit at least 2. Granted, I think Quick has seen and saved more quality shots, but that's a better reflection of how the GK offense is far outplaying the Kings'. |
