What would it take to get Seabrook in your opinion? |

I don't really think he's movable.
CHI can't afford to retain salary, they'd have to send a top prospect along with him to convince someone to absorb that entire gross cap hit he's got. I doubt they'd want to do that.
Plus he makes $9M next year, $7M the year after that and it gets a little better (but not by much) after the next two years ($5M, $6M, $5M, $4.5M).
And he stinks and he's got a full-NMC. |

Really doesn't make sense for any team to acquire him unless they have a similarly bad contract to send to CHI.
The salary retention required to make him an attractive player makes the cost of acquiring him too much imo. CHI is not in a position to be able to retain a significant amount of salary.
Now if they dump Toews to MTL then I could see them more willing to retain salary. |

Everyone knows that Carolina is Chicago's trading partner. |

No Tallon trades Reilly Smith to Vegas for a 4th round pick and exposes Marchassualt and looses him for nothing in the expansion draft |

Patrick Kane is obviously a very desirable piece but his albatross contract and no-movement clause eliminate any reasonable talking points. - Mark Paul
And this is different from Seabrook how? |

Seriously, talk about a front office overhaul needed, fire a coach and do it very badly, and then he rapes your team out of 2 forwards who are playing all star caliber games, my GM needs to go, but Florida has significantly assisted in Vegas's run this year.
Oh and as far as this trade combo goes, Chicago will be in dump salary mode, retaining is not in their best interest, period. They only have 8 forwards signed for next year, and have only 7+ mil left under the cap at the present number. |

If Chicago eats that much I think they get more then that . They are giving you a top four Defenseman for 3.5 mil a year ? Yeah you will have to give up signicantly more |
