Peter Tessier: Jets Reveal Third Jersey The opinion are mixed but you can't deny it- the team and Adidas missed the mark.

No matter how bad or ugly a Jersey is, at some point in the future you will wish to have it back and see it again!!! This is proven by the unbelievable amount of Islander fans wanting the “sea, fish captain highlander” back as their third jersey.
Also, don’t forget at the time the old yellow kings or old Colorado Rockies jerseys were deemed worst in the league only to be loved now.

Further to my point in the eighties our jets jersey were ranked bottom 5 in fan poles and now here we are loving the heritage classic and begging for an 80’s version jersey.

Should have sticked to the old logo from the late 80s.

Personally I think the jerseys are gross. The blue is absolutely terrible. While I respect that others feel differently than I do, going from the heritage classic jersey to this is embarrassing.
I realize that people want to rally around the team, I understand that they’re only r team no matter what, but this little stunt mixed with 14 home games this season has got to be a prank on the fans. I’m expecting a ‘just kidding lol’ to be posted on the jets Facebook group very soon.
And the clarify, there’s absolutely zero chance that I’d ever buy one of these jerseys. They do rank up there with the islanders ugly jerseys in my opinion. Please jet get the 14 games over and write off the mistake.

It really is lackluster. A shame because the new ones are a very nice nod to the originals and a great update. I do like the lettering inside collar, nice but not really visible, otherwise bland and terrible, especially when compared to the Classic one they wore that a whole lot liked. If it is about jersey sales the general take seems to be from online from when it was leaked it is not at all popular and making people want to spend the cash on it. A bit of a fail for the team here.

I try and try to think of Hawerchuk, Selanne and the rest of the former Jets in this jersey and just can't do it. The fiirst time I saw this I thought "are you serious?" This jersey ranks right up there with the Canuck yellow jersey with the "V" collar. A HUGE swing and a miss.

Its close to being really nice design, without shoulder contrast it just seems boring

Its pretty bland...Looks like the Pens 3rd from a few yrs back. The Jets logo looks like a 5th grade contest winner. I dont see these lasting beyond the season.

The simple solution would have been the original logo on something with clean lines. Honor the past.. this is a third jersey after all. These look like something you'd see in a rec league. I guess at least they're better than the winter classic whiteout jerseys the Leafs had last year though?

It looks like the kind of jersey you'd see in a commercial where they cant afford the rights to use a real NHL jersey

Idk why the Sabres scrapped that one so quickly, especially in favor of the turdburger. It was at least ok

It looks very Finlandish. I am not a fan of it but I wonder what Finnish fans think of it.

I don't mind it either. I would have liked to see the tie-up lace aka Calgary style to enhance it a bit. Otherwise, I'm OK with it. In time it will catch on. Once you start adding the numbers, pants, socks, etc it will look much better.

I really like the simplicity of this new jersey. I was never a fan of the Jets 1.0 gaudy crest that seems to have to explain to the world that the Jets are from Winnipeg. The Jets are 2 for 2 in jerseys since returning from exile.
