Wow.

I keep hearing reference to these "slashes" that Ekblad was dishing out, but haven't sen anyone provide a clip of them. The best i could find was a light crosscheck. Was there anything egregious or was it typical stuff you see in any game?

If this is the CHaracter and Attitude MB felt was missing from the team, you now understand why/how he traded away assets to built this poopshow of a pathetic team.

Hot hometown take. Guys are hacked and slashed on the legs and back all game. If it was anything over-the-top a penalty would've been called on Ekblad. Domi couldn't get his fight and lost his cool, kid got a little over excited about making an impression on the new team. I have a hard time believing much will come out of the call.

I think the entire write up was unbiased and I agree Ekblad was chirping while they were tied up. However, Domi tossed that glove like a used condom, he knew what he was doing.

I stand somewhat in between in that I agree that sucker punches have no part in the game, but I don’t really think it was a “Sucker Punch” by Domi.

Reminds me almost exactly of the situation when Milan Lucic KOed an unsuspecting Kevin Connauton after the whistle. Lucic got a one game suspension. I expect about the same for Domi.

True it's not a punishment, but it gives the appearence of them "doing something", without actually making a decision on something that shouldn't happen, which we all know the league hates. I predict the rest of preseason, no more.

No it was cheap and chicken poop... Domi knocks out Kessler and nary a word is said because Kessler squared up dropped the mits and got rocked. Whatever the convo was, unless your Ray Charles or Stevie Wonder, everyone could see Ekblad wasn't going to go.

And hell I like the kid for knocking Kessler out!
