Ok. Preseason means jack to me, in both predicting a dumpster fire or planning a parade. I think most people judging the Canucks during the preseason were judging the roster, particularly the return of the same god awful goaltending & defense. - Marwood
No argument at all about the goalies and I don't think Demko is the answer either. I would be looking into free agency.
The D I am pretty sure you are right but I will wait 20 games to give my yes they are terrible approval. I have seen some things I like on D but it is a long shot

If OJ keeps up his steady play... he may be up here sooner rather than later |

I hope they stick to the plan and try to get value for some trades at TDL.

Mace-Ewen has looked great so far in Utica - IMO give him the full year and he'll be ready to step in for 4th line duties next year - they'll have to move someone out (Schaller?)
Lind looked pretty good in the first game - I'm surprised they scratched him actually.
Kinda bummed Gadjovich hasn't drawn in yet in favour of guys like Woods and Darcy who i doubt will ever play an NHL game but maybe he's injured?
Juolevi has looked really good with the puck - i like that he's on the PP immediately and he's taking the reigns and showing why we drafted him - i think 20+ games and he's be feeling close to ready. Got tickets for the 2 upcoming games in Toronto so looking forward to seeing everyone in person. |

I'm not surprised Gad/palmu and whoever haven't drawn in yet. Not good enough. Gadvojic has got to get quicker, I don't see a NHL career there right now. Lind in and out is to be expected, you can't just put kids in and expect to win (as Johnson says in Carol's article) |

Palmu played last night.
20. Dylan Blujus (D) Utica Comets - - - - - -
21. Lukas Jasek (RW) Utica Comets - - - - - -
22. Guillaume Brisebois (D) Utica Comets - - - - - -
23. Jonah Gadjovich (LW) Utica Comets - - - - - -
24. Michael Carcone (LW/RW) Utica Comets - - - - - -
25. Wacey Hamilton (C) Utica Comets - - - - - -
26. Vincent Arseneau (LW/RW) Utica Comets - - - - - -
27. Jagger Dirk (D)
Jasek and Brisebois are injuried I believe. A bit surprised Carcone hasn't played. |

I like how Cull has been setting up his lines so far. Having at least one actual prospect on each line, being sheltered by tweeners and AHL vets is a pretty nice way to develop these young forwards. |

Demko needs til 2020 to get his game ready IMO. 2019 maybe a back up but depends on who replaces Nilsson. The D still needs more elite talent. Idk maybe next draft but lots a good F’s available. |

Nothing to do with not good enough. As Carol said you don’t throw a roster of kids to the wolves. Onto all these draft picks some ppl wanted & i said where will they all play if even signed? Therefore it’s high draft picks not quanity of fodder |

If they were good enough, they'd be in the lineup. It has everything to do with it. Not to say they won't draw in, just that they are going to have to work for it (as they should) |

Yup. This is how it should be, weave them in slow and let them work their way up the lineup based on performance. Same as at the NHL level. |

I haven't paid attention to who is actually playing with who in Utica. Saw highlights of the goals last night on Utica twitter. Dahlen making some nice plays. Playmaker instead of goal scorer.
Van was ranked #3 by sporting news and #2 by Pronman for farm systems. If you eliminated EP from being the list and all the other top prospects that have graduated to the NHL now. Mittelstadt/Dahlen/Svechnikov/Donato for other examples. Where would Van sit then.

Of course. Still it’s a finite roster. Kids need to play but in the Pros a draftee isn’t guaranteed anything when not 1st rounders. Competition for spots can get tight. |

Still top 10 by my guesstimation.
I’d rank the Flyers #1 on depth alone.
Sabres after Dahlin don’t impress me. |

A lot of these sites, consider flashiness/goalscoring as a high priority, they love me some smaller players, as opposed to players like Gadj and MacEwen who are big men. |

I think I would too actually. Still good depth and really no one graduated from Phillies system. I think I would put Van probably 5-8 somewhere in there. |

Yeah philly has a nice pool of prospects, Farabee might be one of the more underrated guys from the last draft. I liked the isles draft too, Getting Wahlstrom and Dobson seems so crazy to me. Add that to some nice young prospects, they have some great pieces. |

Yup it’s all subjective & always open for critiquing. A guideline for me mostly. |
