FIRST!!!
How much longer do we have to wait? Id have no problem dealing 37, and to a much more PAINFUL extent, 55, for a true producing 2C. You simply cannot compete without 2 quality centers.
So using that as a model, Id love to see what it would take for either Duschene or (if they plan on tearing it down) Giroux. I know Giroux is 30ish but he has the kind of game and wheels that could carry forward (like Briere did)
Simply out, Im sick of waiting and I want a true 2C before we waste all of Eichels prime years. |

Nice work on the stats.
Has Okposo ever played left wing? His tendencies on RW are too obvious. Maybe a switch to LW would force him to step out of his comfort level/complacency/doldrums/whatever you want to call it |

Sabres win, buh bye Ror, Sabres looooooooooose we desperately NEED can’t live without, immediate second line center.
Opening up that hole filled the defensive gap and opened up room to explore more players to fill in the bottom 9.
This is a good problem for a young team to have and in no way should rush to fill. |

I think Casey is going to have a very successful second half and will be the unsung hero
I know some people are extremely aggravated with him which is understandable but I truly believe he’s going to break out |

Giroux would be nice but he’s basically The “Sidney Crosby” of the organization it would take something I would I never pay |

People wanted ROR gone, couldn't wait for him to go, now we have no #2 center. People can't wait to trade 55 and or 19. Let's see how well that works out and enough with the crap that Pilut is ready for top 6 and how will we be better with 55 gone. How's that worked with ROR gone. big deal we get another pick, how many more years should we keep waiting. 37 has no business being 2nd line center. |

Again, I think Casey will be a very good player in a few years, but to think that he is going to turn it around the 2nd half is wishful thinking at best. wish it one hand poop in the other, what do you get.............

If we rebuilt properly the first time we wouldn’t have to do it again. Murray essentially wasted 5 years and we have to use the next two years to make up for the last 5 years of disaster. We have Eichel and Dahlin to show for it at least.

So, are we bad again? - RhinoFan
Bad, No however we are an average team that had a 10 game win streak that hid a lot of our shortcomings. I still think we will compete for the 7th or 8th playoff spot but we are going to have to trade for some scoring help or find it in Rochester. I think it may be time to bring up Nylander and Olofsson to see if they can help any.

My guess is Eichel misses 2-3 weeks. During that time, the Sabres go 0-5-1 |

I think guys will step up in his absence, if there is one. Sometimes adversity can pull a team together |

I love your outlook, but there is absolutely zero evidence that others will "step it up" In fact its the opposite.
