The Oilers have a losing attitude, zero leadership, a lack of toughness, a weak defense and an over inflated self image of how good they are, when anyone who is not a blind homer realizes that they are not that good. This team needs to trade for players from winning organizations that can address some of the criteria that they lack, or it will be lottery time once again in June.

Oilers powerplay is too predictable they always try to break it in to the zone the same and once they get in there they run the same 3 plays.

I hate to say this but Mcdavid just wasted 4 years of probably around a 18 year career (and nothing is guarenteed; see Lindros) and he's got his best ten years coming up. If I was McD I would go to Katz and ask him wtf is going on. Clean house. Fire every last person. Nicholson Chiarelli, Lowe, McTavish, Gretzky(s) EVERYONE! I would say "make changes, do this or trade me". He only gets one career and the Oil are wasting it. So depressing.

I really do not feel that the Oil are that far away. Bring in a decent GM and some coaches that can get the players to buy into the system.

The Oilers need more than a change in GM and coaches. They have no depth, poor farm system, horrible defense and are one knee injury to McD away from being completely terrible.

A lot of good players from winning organizations have NMCs and they're not going to waive them to go play in Edmonton.
