Before everyone freaks out like I did after seeing lines: Nylander isn't scratched, he got cut on the back of his leg, got stiches and is day to day. |

He understands the bigger picture to the tank !!! |

The lowest we can finish is 30th, an improvement over last year🙄. The tank era is rapidly becoming the tank decade!! Good draft picks, and some off season moves, sparking optimism through the summer..... Can't wait to see what ticket price increases we see this year, lol

Agreed. Much yelling and gnashing of teeth.
Something about benching the youngster with a 58.5 CF% seemed a bit rash, even for Phail. |

yeah, but he's on a six-game scoring drought and has been held without a point in nine of 12 games |

Skinner and Pominville's last home game as Sabres. |

How many games ago did he get put on the 4th line?
4? 5?
Not sure I blame him too much for the production. I believe he got taken off the PP too. Tough I can't find any line combo data on him, usually dobber would have it I thought.
Haven't been knocked out by him, the -6 over the last 4 games is disconcerting, but I see this more of a product of him moving down lines rightly or wrongly. |

I was given 4 200 level tickets for free... I am taking my son to the Bisons game instead. That's where I am as a fan right now. |

I know his minutes dropped through the floor, but I thought he was already moved down by the Islanders game at least. Could be wrong.
I'd certainly subtract those two games from his resume either way. Thought it was more. 4 pts in 9 games outside the bottom line and a positive Corsi doesn't sound horrid to me. |

He wasn't playing particularly well, after a good start, and got dropped in the lineup to get a look at Olofsson. It's strange to me that this is a story.

If we're saying he was the weak link, we're fooling ourselves, I think. He was generating shots and wasn't his normal statistical nightmare defensively.
I didn't mind moving him down a line to get Olo with Jack, but I see ever minute he plays with Girgs and Larry as a waste of time. He should've been sent down a couple games ago if that was the case IMO. |

The one thing I hope of this offseason is they bring in a coach who understands proper usage of his players
The rest will be gravy
You cannot win when as soon as you score a goal the coach puts out the 4th line and they get scored on shortly thereafter

Season ticket holders - forget about the lousy play for the last 4 months. You get a free crappy beer from Labatt's and an Eichel bobblehead. WOW!!!

Good article here

Sexton said, “I can’t think of any player that has negatively affected his career by playing in the American Hockey League. It’s not about how fast you get to the NHL, it’s about being mentally and physically prepared for the rigors of the National Hockey League, so when you get there you can make a meaningful contribution, not just take up a roster spot.”
Not positive, but wasn't Gerbe that used to have an issue with guys being sent to the AHL? |

Maybe that was the problem. He was playing too well at this point in the season where wins would not help the team. |

--he was on the sheary line vs. det
--was on that line again at nyi before gum-chewer juggled him to a line with larry and Olofsson in the third period
--played on the larry/gus line against clb and nsh

Housley was terrible in that respect...and he couldn't figure out what to do on the road when he didn't have last change, hence the 11-24-5 road record and their current 14-game losing streak (0-12-2) |
