Agreed. Bryson has that offensive upside but he's a bit smallish for my tastes. Rochester is an ideal spot for him to develop.
Speaking of Borgen, I think him and OV make the roster next year. CJ might if they don't bring back Larsson and/or Girgensons. I have a feeling Nylander is trade bait and that's one of the reasons why they called him up. - mhp
I've sat and stared at the armchair GM capfriendly sabres page for about an hour the other day. Ideally, you want all your AHL guys to be called up and fill in for underachieving and expiring vets. But the reality is, we're not the Senators. We CAN'T suck next year, and backfilling a bunch of spots, while you can't make the team much worse, likely will not vastly improve the team. I want a bunch of those guys to fight for spots, and guys like CJ Smith will be on a one way contract next year. But a bunch others still have waiver priority, like VO, Nylander, Asplund and Thompson. Swapping out negative impact players like half the bottom 6 and half the defense with a few trades/FAs, competent NHL vets, is, in my eyes, the only way to elevate this team.
There's also this background, yet significant issue of particular guys that either can't or won't play the system and just bail out at the first sign of trouble. You simply can't have that. The best teams don't always have the best talent, but they don't crack. |

One game does not make a season. Yes, the 5 - 2 win against the Ottawa AHL team feels good but none of us will forget the past 4 months. It's really hard to believe a team with this much talent played worse during this stretch than the famous tank year team which was completely void of talent.
Either Botts fires Housley or Botts has to go along with Housley. |

So, decent home record for the year but totally sucky on the road. To me this indicates the team has had enough talent to be at least a playoff contender, but has been lacking in toughness...mental and physical.... as well as missing a coach who can overcome the other team getting the final line change.
Hope this is the end of the Suckening.

Hearing the Pegulas speak about their team always reduces my confidence in their ability to do anything right except restaurants. I was in the new place the other day. They did a nice job and should stick with that.
In the survey email I got the other day for the question of why I wouldn't renew my tickets my answer was "zero confidence in ownership to improve the team". They're awful at this |

Right, which is why we need to 2 solid scoring lines and 4 solid dmen and a goalie that can win a game on his own. Everyone else can go away. We are short 3 players on offense and 2 on defense. The rest are interchangeable parts.
A coach and proper system are also important. I am indifferent on Phil. I did't see enough improvement in the team game to care one way or another. |

Once you win the lottery you forget all about the bad stuff Lol 😂
The sabers are probably licking their chops thinking if we win this lottery we can erase their minds 🤔 |

The post on here have been legendary lately from
Jack is a slightly above average better player than Roy
-Jeff Skinner quit and that’s why we missed the playoffs

Phil is most likely coming back.
And Pegs isn't firing Botts.
