Kadri when hes pissed is a cheap shot artist and goes headhunting. blatant cross check to the face here. I hate both teams but kadri clearly needs to get suspended. |

Just when you think a player's grown up, he does that kinda junk. Flyers need a 2nd line center badly and some of us thought Kadri/RNH might be a possible targets. Can't have your 2nd/3rd line centerman consistently hurting the team in big games though. Hopefully no long term injury for Debrusk and at least a few games for the repeat offender. |
|
|
|
I appreciate the full context of what led to the final,"exchange" between the two in your blog. Can't forget, Kadri also just watched Debrusk blow up a teammate into the spot where the glass picks up at the bench.
I'm sure he felt the refs did nothing about the knee on knee he got, then watches this guy continue playing dirty (for sure in his mind), and decided a message needed sending.
I knd of get it, but it still has to be a suspension.

Sean Avery's impartial analysis
https://twitter.com/TLNdc...tatus/1117274898525638656 - jimbro83
avery telling people to step up on drop the gloves is the most hilarious thing i've ever heard in my life. the guy is the king of turtling....ANY TIME he had to answer for his dirty plays, he dropped to the ice and put his hands over his head. the ONLY people he would fight were the ones he had a clear and significant size advantage over (which weren't many), and even then he didn't do well.
i'm not speaking to anything in this game, one way or anohter, just needed to give my 2 cents on Avery. that ass clown needs to be fired into the sun |

DeBrusk running around all game. Zero response from the Leafs until Kadri loses his mind in the third. Kadri is going to get 5 games. Kyle Dubas failed to address any kind of grit, believing the NHL would call penalties in the post season. Losing Kadri is going to hurt. This series is going the distance. |

"According to the NHL/NHLPA collective bargaining agreement, a player has the right to an in-person hearing if facing a disciplinary suspension of six or more games."
That's from nhl. Com story. So not sure if the minimum is 5 or 6.
Regardless say goodnight to Kaz... |

Goodbye to Kadri, NEXT
I have to say If DeBrusk continues the way he's playing he can be the next step for this Team. Kid is a monster right now, I haven't seen him play with such nastiness until now, I guess that's what a slew foot will do to someone.
And let's face it boys, Backes made a difference, as much as everyone wants to kill him for his speed he HAS made a way to impact this Team, I Respect that.
My god how good would McQuaid look in front of our Net right now. ( I know, I know, I gotta let it go) |
|
|
|
That's why this put the whistles away come playoff time is ridiculous. Debrusk ran around all game. Bloodies up one player, takes a run at anothers knee. He must have face washed half the team. Then he throws a fringe hit on Marleau, who is probably the most respected player on the team. No calls on any of it, so Kadri finally does something.
When they let the games run wild, people always get hurt. |

Krug is gone for sure, that’s a concussion. And these days there is zero chance he plays with a concussion.
All the bull poop aside it was a piss poor reffing job last night. They let it go out of control.
Kadri, Clifton, Debrusk, Krug all likely wont be playing next game. And a bloody nose and eye for Dermott and Muzzin. That’s not good for hockey. Get control of the game refs. |
|
|
|
Agreed. Refs created this mess by not calling the knee on Debrusk. That should have been a match penalty. If it had been called, there would not have been a need for Kadri to seek retribution |

You are very inaccurate with your assessment of injuries and gameplay.
Come here and have a civil chat if you like, but leave the victim chit at the the Big Bad Door.
Kadri's an excellent player who often goes too far once agitated. DeBrusk is not a goon. He was responding to game 1's antics.

Grit are players playing through hits and tough play. Too many Leaf players aren't willing to play when the going gets tough. Tavares, Marner, Brown, Hyman, Relliy and a few others are more than willing. I thought after game one Nylander was going to turn a corner but yesterday he played afraid as did Gardiner yet again and where is Matthews? |

Game one antics? What's that, winning a game? No one said debrusk was a goon, he took liberties on a lot of players yesterday that went unaccounted for by the refs. The knee on knee alone could have been a match penalty and didn't even draw a minor. He had another player leaking out of his nose on the bench, no call.
I don't even fault debrusk, players will play the game trying to find the line and get as close to it as they can without going over. When the guys in charge won't do anything to show them where the line is, this is the result. Players get hurt, players get suspended. It's on the officials. |

Clear targetting of the knee. Total cheap shot. League won't look at that though. |

The slew foot and agression Kadri showed in game 1 against Debrusk warranted a response from JD. He responded as he should have.
That hit wouldn't have anything to do with a knee if Kadri didn't jump like a dummy.
Kid gets his nose busted cause he's leaning on Debrusks ribs with his stick long after the whistle blew. Great response from JD yet again.
The hit on Marleau was not cool in my opinion.
Elder statesmen who play clean should never be blown up like that. Especially along the boards by the bench.
I wouldn't like it if it was Bergy.
The response from Kadri was wrong.
He should have grabbed him and fought him.
You can't cross check a guy in the face.
5 games for Kadri. Which is a bigger loss than any other player other than MM and JT.

Debrusk has done some questionable stuff this series. Don’t ignore that. Please take off the glasses.
Kadri is an idiot and can do some dirty plays. Please don’t wear the black and yellow glasses you lose all credibility for me. |

Holy (frank) man. Take off the black and yellow glasses. I know you like your players but they can do wrong. A dirty play is a dirty play. Pasta jumped on Muzzin. And just because a player is leaning on you it doesn’t mean you can turn around and elbow him in the face.
Kadri has made dirty plays this series. It’s not hard to admit when your faveorite team is making dirty plays. Take off the glasses. |

Take it easy friend.
Please point out where I was wrong.
Never mentioned Pastas hit, which was charging.
Watch the sequence again where DeBrusk was getting leaned on and tell me what you would do.
He didn't look back, he threw an elbow to try and escape the not so gentle massage.
Bruins have been over the edge (dirty) plenty in this series. I've never said they weren't.
Please temper your aggression. No glasses of any color needed.

Dude, it’s hockey. Players get in board battles 50 times a game. If you were allowed to elbow a player every time there was a board battle there would be a lot of injured players. Again. Take off the black and yellow glasses. Your credibility is getting incredibly low.
Watch today’s Pens/Isles game. Count how many times there is a battle along the boards, where yes, a player will be pinned against the board/bench. I gaurentee you will count 50+ and tell me how many elbows there are. |

Debrusk and Kadri both deserve suspensions, clearly. But I’ll be honest, Bruins don’t look as strong as I’d thought. And with Krug and Debrusk potentially out, the Leafs are the deeper and better team

Kadri should get a minimum of 6 games for his cheap shot on DeBrusk coupled with his history of suspensions for head shots.

And Debrusk should serve a one game suspension for trying to take Kadri's knee out. But he won't. |
