Mrazek wouldn't play ball with Kenny when he was a RFA so Holland decided to make Mrazek a scapegoat for the teams failures. Especially his own.

Yeah it was obvious Mrazek had more talent than Howard and was obviously the right age to grow alongside the core that was developing. He had some consistency issues, but part of that was just the frustration from playing behind a defense featuring Kronwall, Ericsson, Daley, Dekeyser, and Green. With the occasional dose of Lashoff.

But Howard was tight with Kenny. I think Howard’s wife knew Helm’s wife who used to babysit Kenny’s grandkids or something ridiculous like that. So Howard stays. Mrazek goes. Especially after he played hardball as an RFA. Pretty pathetic.

Would be epic to see Mrazek carry the Canes to the Cup – highly unlikely – but imagine a reporter asking Petr during the celebrations if he wants to say hi to anyone. Hi mom. Hi dad. Oh hi Kenny and Jimmy. Thanks for allowing me to escape your clown show.
